Wrapping presents for kids question

Do you wrap the presents from Father Christmas in different wrapping paper?

How many does 'he' get them?

I'm thinking of wrapping his playmobil ghostbusters set (one big and two small presents) in different paper from Santa and then the rest are from me and then whatever relatives get him etc.

Yep, I get a couple of rolls of cheaper paper for stocking presents. Two different colours so I don't get DCs gifts mixed up. Then different paper for presents from us. DS1 is 7 and already wavering a bit so if we had same paper he'd twig straight away

No. I told my kids at an early age, that I buy all the paper and leave it out for the elves and Father Christmas. The elves quickly wrap the gifts as FC brings them out of his sack.

I came up with this as I couldn't be bothered hiding multiple large rolls of wrap!

FC only did stockings here. Much less complicated all ways round.
He uses different wrapping paper.

I wish we had a national law about how Santa works so all parents stick to the same story will have to nip out to get some different wrapping paper!

Currently sat surrounded by mess wrapping the presents, a few need assembling beforehand too

Father Christmas always uses special secret paper that he gets from a shop where the dc will never go and have never seen it on sale. He’s also very careful with off cuts and left overs.

I've always used different paper. Once I'd forgotten which paper id used because they were all stored away and used the same one for other presents.
Dd never noticed though think she was only 4 at the time. I'm always more careful now.
Santa usually gets one big present. Not the main present but something they really wanted. I usually try and make it something that looks like it was made by elf's like a wooden train set or wooden dolls house.
And a stocking with chocolates, a small teddy, Christmas socks, maybe gloves and a tangerine

I wish we had a national law about how Santa works so all parents stick to the same story

My daughter has already told me stories like "dave gets big experience presents of Santa"
I've told mine that Santa couldn't possibly get every child big stuff and game consoles they're what parents buy
" daves mum buys them and sends them to the north pole"
Never understood the logic in that story

Poor daves parents all that work and no credit

And the tooth fairy some have a magic fairy door, some leave fairy dust, some leave a bloody fiver!

Disclaimer my dc doesn't really have a friend called dave.

Yes father Christmas wraps in different paper here too.

I don't wrap stocking items, problem solved!! And time saved!

Father Christmas brings the stockings here, and doesn’t have time to wrap it all (which is why it is in a stocking...) I try to include something which they really want, but isn’t expensive (usually involves me making it, eg personalised teddy)

The rest is from us/other relatives and friends.

Santa brings all the all presents here so I just buy wrapping paper from a shop we don't go on together . This year it was Aldi. Family and friends presents are obviously not from santa and are placed under the tree when we receive them on the run up to the big day

Any presents in this house wrapped in paper with pictures of Santa on have come from Santa.
This means I don't have to remember what paper is what!

There’s so much nowadays and everybody does it differently
Advent calendars - some have pictures, some have £1 chocolate ones, others have the expensive toy/Lego/snuggle ones, other have the wooden fill your self ones, some have the elves bring them others are given by the parents, some have 1 others like my 3 year old
Nephew have 4!!! (2 chocolate, 1 Playmobil and 1 paw patrol!!)

Some people do xmas eve boxes, from the elves or from the parents, others just do new pjs, others don’t, and now I’ve heard of bloody 1st December boxes!!!!

Some people do elf on the shelf, others don’t, some have 1 elf for the family others have 1 per child! Some have an elf door, some go really over the top with what the elf does (stripping the xmas tree of decs- WTF it was traumatic enough putting them on the first time I’m not going to do it all again!!) others like me just move the elf about each day so it’s sitting somewhere new.

Some people have ALL the presents from everyone from santa, others just do a satsuma in a stocking, most are something in between.

Some have iPads and xboxes and puppies from santa, others say santa doesn’t bring electronics/pets

It’s a bloody minefield as the kids are always questioning why best friend got an iPad from santa and they didn’t etc

Santa fills stockings and doesn't wrap.

As a child I noticed the paper was the same but I assumed Father Christmas and my parents went to the same shop.

Father Christmas brings every thing but sometimes to help him we buy things and send them to him.... This covers you for wrapping paper and discovered gifts

My kids stocking gifts are being wrapped in Amazon packaging this year. All presents come from father Christmas in this house and I really can't be bothered this year.

My sister just didn't wrap- she stuck everything in a big sack for each of her two.

We used to give most from Santa but their special/big gift from us would be in special paper (e.g. gold with bows and ribbons etc). When they were small I always wrapped all the tiny stocking stuff too, just to buy more time in the morning....:o

My kids ask Santa for 3 things each, cost £50-100 total, they are still young enough to be "steered" in the right direction. This year they have heard about the "something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to read" thing and realised that makes 4 presents so we may do that. Anyway, those are wrapped along with any random stocking fillers in different paper to everything else.

They. Must. Not. See. The. Santa. Paper.

All other presents from us and family/friends are under the tree on Xmas morning and thank you notes or video thank yous sent accordingly. Brilliant idea to have different paper per kid, I'm gonna do that this year!

I buy different papers for each DC so I don't have to write a load of tags or get presents mixed up. Santa brings them 1 present each which I wrap in silver foil paper with a plain tag saying to x from Santa.

Yes Santa uses different paper. Some years I've done different for all the kids but this year all 3 have the same and I'm keeping them in named bags so no confusion.

Santa brings a sack full of small gifts. I think 25 this year. Things like a book, socks, bath bomb, chocolate.

Then I use completely different paper for the present from us. We get them one big present.

If anything from Santa is wrapped then yes different paper which is stored separately from the dedicated wrapping paper box so the DCs don't see it.

However the big present like playmobil is built and ready to play. The year they got a castle it even had knights mid battle :o

Yes stocking gifts and one asked for present in Santa paper - 2 different colours of Santa paper, one for each child so you don’t put the wrong parcels in the wrong stocking!

Then the rest from us in usually a couple of different kinds.

I’ve told mine that Santa doesn’t do gadgets of hugely expensive things because he has to be fair to everyone and some might not ask for much. It has to be a toy as that’s what he trades in.
