I'm usually disorganised, a bit broke and slightly Bah Humbug in November, but this year I have achieved an uncharacteristic level of organisation and am feeling well smug Grin.

Online ordered food shop for Dec 22nd.
Bought all presents, wrapping and cards (including dreaded Secret Santa gift for work).
Got decorations out of loft, sorted out and bought some new bits.
Deep cleaned the house a whole 3 weeks earlier than I usually would so I can have visitors in the run-up to Christmas without feeling like a slattern Grin (I'll have to do it again, though, no doubt)...

Left to do:
Going to write cards tonight and post on Saturday
Getting our tree on Sunday and will decorate it + the house
Going to wrap my presents next week while DC are out for the evening
DH is sorting the booze out nearer the time.

I feel festive and relaxed now Halo Wine

What have you done and whats still left to do?

5Dc presents all wrapped and in sacks ready for the big day
Dh’s presents bought (but not wrapped yet)
2 family gifts left to buy (well 1.5 actually)
Outdoor decorations done, indoor decorations done, just a tree to buy and put up and decorate but that will be done in 2 weeks time.
Cards to write, think I’ll do that this weekend.
So not an awful lot really especially considering it’s not yet December

Presents all bought/ordered which is lovely. Have to resist the urge to twitch now.
Cards written. Will be posted towards the end of next week.
Additional decorations purchased but nothing will go up until about the 16th.

House deep cleaned last weekend - hurrah!
Ice skating tickets bought for us all for Xmas Eve.
Xmas bedding washed and ready to go onto beds.
Pjs bought.
Mini Xmas trees for DDs rooms purchased (first year they are both at Uni so big plans for homecoming!)
Excuses made for non-attendance at work Xmas meals.
Xmas quiz for students written.
Booze and treats shop done.
List of food to buy made. I don't order ahead and haven't ever had problems buying what's needed on 23rd or 24th.
All in all, feeling quite chilled!

Have bought 2 gifts for ds, 1 for dd (it was her birthday last week so don't know what to get her) and a present for dh.
Guess I've got a fair bit to do Grin

SacharissaCripslock · 29/11/2017 18:52

I have SO MUCH to do. I usually have it all done by now. But I'm moving house on the 15th so have been packing and organising and don't have the head space for Christmas.

Come Dec 16th I'm going to go into overdrive!

SingingSeuss · 29/11/2017 18:56

Food (have to wait was few days for online slots as I don't do the online saver), tree (going up this weekend), post pressies I can't hand deliver, and cards (bought but not written).... I am surprised, I had much more to do this time last year...I wonder what I've forgotten!

PoncyCanapes · 29/11/2017 22:15

Amazed by those of you with 4 or 5 DC! Well bloody done, you!

This time let year I hadn't even given Christmas a thought.

I resolve to be more prepared now, though, as I feel so much more relaxed having a lot of it done.
