Karaoke machine - will I regret it?

I will have 4 girls 7-12 with us on Christmas Day plus 8 adults. I like to buy a new game or activity we can all have fun with, I am thinking of buying a karaoke machine. Is this a good idea? Any recommendations for alternatives?

I don't have any current recommendations as we bought one many moons ago. Our DCs loved it (and it came out several times when we had adult friends round, great fun after a few drinks!)

It depends how much you hate your neighbours I suppose!
Growing up we had neighbours who did karaoke at full blast every evening in another language. It was horrendous!

Not in another language! That's awful! Hmm

Kararoke machine is good but you gotta be responsible enough not to annoy your neighbors with it. Other than that I think you'll enjoy having one.

If you have a smart tv, then you can buy a Bluetooth microphone and use the squillion karaoke songs on YouTube on the tv. Cheap and cheerful. Lots of family fun.

Thanks Ffion that’s a great idea we have a smart tv. Will give that a go 😊

I've just bought one called 'rocket' it's just a microphone and I'll connect YouTube on the smart TV so they can sing whatever they please! Luckily we ate detached, 😁 so no annoying the neighbours
