Sainsbury's site was having a proper wobbler too! Took ages to let me choose 23rd, then wouldn't load to check out. I switched to the app and it was fine.

Was half the country poised to get their Tesco / Sainsbury's slot at midnight?!

I can’t get in on my phone, can’t check out on my pc. I need to go to sleep 😴

I think Tesco gave eveyone the fear of missing out with all the emails and the texts now everyone is on at the one time

I had the app and normal browser open, just managed to checkout on the app.

Finally got in on the app. Couldn’t get in at all on the website.

Still can’t get through check out on either.

I got in on the app as well. All slots were available for the 23rd. I went with the very first one, 7-8am as I picked a late one last year with Asda and my shopping was hours late on top! Secured my place with 3 litres of vodka so must change that!

I think the apps must run on different servers. It's Christmas carnage on the interweb! 😱🎅🎄

After having it in my diary I went to bed early and fell asleep. Woke up at 4, something reminded me so straight on the app and got the evening of the 23rd which is fine with me

I forgot too, I've been awake since 4.30 but only remember about 6.00, nothing left for the 23rd in my area on the one hour slots so ended up with the 10-2 slot, which is a bit of a pain if I was wanting to go out, but a least I got a slot!

You only need to add one or two things to the basket to checkout. Doesn't need to be £40, you're just booking the slot. Then all the extra charges (for being under £40) will be taken off when you do your final checkout in December.

Last year I booked my slot with a £40 bottle of champagne and got an email off Tesco in December asking if I actually wanted it or if I was using it as a basket holder, as they needed to confirm with their suppliers. I think lots of people must have done the same. So this time I've just checked out with a bag of carrots.

Well I was up all night and still couldn’t check out. I have sent a nasty email to customer services. I’m not sure why I can’t check out, have tried on 3 different devices and using the app. I have lost 3 different slots and now there’s none left. I feel like a zombie from being up all night. I will now have to do the dreaded food shop in store with 2 autistic kids in tow
