In need of a little help. I'm trying to find something fun to buy my 9 year old niece, around the £10-15 mark? I don't see her very often so don't know what she's into but would like to send her a gift this Christmas but no idea what a 9 year old would find cool! Money's a bit tight this Christmas so I can't afford to spend much more that, but want to get her something. I did look at the kids gifts in Boots, but even with the 3 for 2 a tenner won't go far. Has anyone got any ideas?

Smiggle have 30% off on some of their stuff, got a lovely set in there today for £12.60 instead of £18

My 10 yr old would love a colouring book and some nice pens.

Now 98

Dork Diaries book collection

FlowerPotMum · 25/11/2017 22:42

Notebooks, pens, posh colouring books. The works have loads of stuff at the moment.
A fleecy bed throw or a bed cushion ( primark).
Make-up, nail varnish, hair chalks.
My dd wants a unicorn diary with a lock more than anything!

FlowerPotMum · 25/11/2017 22:43

Dork diaries.. £15 for 10 books in the works! Very popular in our house!

becotide · 25/11/2017 22:43

Gel pens. Always gel pens for girls aged between 3 and 13

alletik · 25/11/2017 22:43

Anything unicorn! We're drowning in the bloody stuff!

my 9 year old would love
sharpies and colouring book - the adult Harry potter one is about £5 on amazon
diary/notebook and gel pens
shopkins
photo frame or Snow globe for her room
novelty onesie or cover. we've got her a mermaid tail blanket for Christmas
anything pusheen or Harry potter
unicorn anything - she got a pug dressed as a unicorn teddy for her bday. primark had pandacorn things in the other day.
personalised pencils or anything with her name on as she has an unusual name
letter keyring from smiggle or a cute keyring for her school bag

bingolittle · 25/11/2017 23:41

Pro Markers on special offer from Hobbycraft.

David Walliams book or audiobook.

Emoji top with reversible sequins from Primark or Next.

Smiggle stuff is definitely cool at the moment.

swizzlestix · 26/11/2017 06:53

A sequin switch mermaid pillow would be well received and under £10 on Amazon

m011y · 26/11/2017 06:56

Go to wickeduncle.co.uk. You put in the age and sex of the child and it comes up with a list of on trend toys/gifts starting at about £5. Was my absolute go to before I had DC and had no clue.

Lots of ideas here that my nearly 10 year old would love.

I just wanted to add - the works do lots of gift sets 2 for 10. My SIL has bought my DD some amd they will be well recieved

BarchesterFlowers · 26/11/2017 10:25

Djeco art kit, lots to choose from and they were always a great hit here.

Foundwantingalways · 26/11/2017 13:38

The neon sign kit looks amazing, thank you! The only thing is, it says 14 years plus on the product info, will that be a problem?
