Last year DC2 was 5 and loved his Rubik's Snake - think I saw it in a toy shop but they're widely available.

Bath fizzers (he just loves bath fizzers / bath bombs - this year's are snowmen ).

We always put a comic in a stocking as it bulks it up nicely and gives them something to do early doors so they don't wake us up.

This year's stocking for him is otherwise:
satsuma
chocolate coins
glow sticks
toothbrush

Slipper socks are a great shout too. Ours have loved those in the past, especially if you can find the right character ones.

Hmmm, doesn’t sound much so far!! But we have new stockings this year & don’t think they hold as much. Will maybe pick up couple more cheap bits nearer to time..

Small Lego kit (or Wilko’s version if money is tighter);

Character versions of stuff they need (clothing, PJs, toiletries);
Charity shop finds (books, I have a Lego minifigure cookie cutter this year);
Those foam planes (all DC and DH get these to race);
Craft supplies;
Edibles.

DS's 4 and 7 have currently got:

Cars 3 Splash Racer
Bullet Train (Special request from DS2)
Chocolate snowman
Joke shop stuff (not yet bought, probably whoopie cushion/duck whistle or similar)
Slipper socks
Binoculars (they get one bigger thing each in there)
A book each
Novelty pens and pad
Fruit.

All stuff they can deal with themselves with little input from us first thing in the morning.

I got bath fizzers in B & M but I'm sure Superdrug etc would have similar.

This "snowball" fizzer is reduced to £1 from £2.50.
