Gift ideas for 3 year old boy

What are you getting your 3 year old boy? My son has duplo/train set/a kitchen/cars-tractors and a play garage also marble run already. He also has a couple of orchard games eg shopping list. He's not really into character stuff from TV eg paw patrol (as doesn't know they exist!). Any good ideas?

Does he have a balance bike or doodlebug rider thing? (Like a sit-on scooter?) our nearly 3 twins are just getting into play-dough too, although only at nursery! 😂

DS2 (2.5) is getting

Some dinosaurs
Some board books
A mini hoover

Some cars (the ones from IKEA you can build)
And maybe something from Happyland if it’s going cheap

A Puky push bike
Leapfrog leap pad

I have two ds around that age. They love brio and all of that.

The number one thing in this house is the imaginext pirate shark bite - so many features and stuff to do. They love it.

Also getting the elc castle and a balance bike and scooter this year

Mishmishmish · 19/11/2017 15:43

Great ideas, will check out kinetic sand and the shark bite thing

Dc3 is having a wooden peter rabbit play set

A wooden crane to go with the (vast) wooden train set inherited from ds1 and a light projector torch.

Mum is getting him an ELC CD player

SatsukiKusakabe · 19/11/2017 18:18

At that age my ds loved the Playmobil Recycling truck, Puky balance bike and Schleich dinosaurs more than just about anything.

isittheholidaysyet · 19/11/2017 18:22

Scooter, bike, swing, trampoline?

Tbh, at that age my boys just got more duplo/trains/cars/tractors.

A boy can never have too many cars!

Snausage · 19/11/2017 18:43

My DS (also 3!) Is getting Playmobil bits, (fire engine, fire chief car, police horse box) a planetarium, an old-fashioned, wind-up tin robot and loads of diecast cars! Also, The Darkest Dark by Chris Hadfield.

My mum bought him an iPad mini last year. Initially I was annoyed, but he loves it and it's a life saver on long journeys.
He doesn't go anywhere without his micro scooter.

One thing I have earmarked is this bath water pipes toy because it looks fun: www.kidly.co.uk/products/boon/pipes-bath-toy/139

I have a 3 yr old DD who is a bit of a tomboy. Her fave is a mini tool bench with tools. It's the only thing she plays with for more than 5 mins

Mine has asked for a BIG DRILL THAT DOES REAL NAILS and a mermaid and a fairy wand.

I’m also getting him a complete set of Beatrix Potter books. And some wings to go with his wand.

That bath toy looks awesome! I was goi g to suggest Quercetti Tubations, my kids LOVE these so much-they're the best thing I've ever bought! But they're quite similar to that bath toy!

BusyBetsy · 22/11/2017 14:04

I bought my nephew a gift card for a children's book subscription box from Bookabees! My sister is always out and about, and is always saying how she feels guilty that they don't go to the library as often as they should. Thought I would combine the two and get him some more books and games, and make my sister's life a little easier
