Anyone had this type of colour scheme last year ? Please can you show and tell. I suspect my tree last year was a bit boring ...i have real metal lametta to add and was thinking of adding in some green. I dont do gold so green baubles with silver tops hard to find ..also prefer glass baubles if anyone has seen any?

Last year's tree Dd and DH imply that the lack of colour is boring ...i can only handle introducing one more colour though 😂😂

I wouldn’t use lametta personally, feels rather dated.
I think adding in a non-traditional colour helps so maybe blue rather than green? Depends on what look you’re going for.

There isn't enough stuff on it op. Lovely tree though. I would get a lot of red baubles and on amazon I saw lovely baubles they would match your scheme. Give me a moment ...

I think it’s totally lovely. What about some dark red tinsel, really thick bushy stuff to fill in the big gaps?

Isadora2007 · 19/11/2017 14:19

Red berry lights? Plus some wee red baubles?

CurlsLDN · 19/11/2017 14:21

I’d agree that your tree could do with 3x as much stuff on it, then it would look full, rich and luxurious, and your colour scheme would be clear.

Rather than adding extra colour if you don’t want to, try different shapes and textures.

Last year I used thick wired ribbon looped around the tree instead of lametta or tinsel, that was surprisingly nice

MakeMisogynyAHateCrime · 19/11/2017 14:27

What about red velvet ribbon across the branches as a sort of garland?

AnonEvent · 19/11/2017 14:42

I love the dated feel of Lametta, it feel luxurious like a louche 1950’s party.

wobblywonderwoman I'm sure we had baubles like that growing up the box looks familiar and everything!

The tree was real has just occured to me maybe shorter and bushier would have helped ! I will experiment with different textures eye

The lametta is not as bad as it sounds honest I'll find a photo

I'm not a big fan of tinsel either tbh I have the reindeer on your tree too...the white one ! This is the lametta look I was thinking about
