Decorations to make with kids that I'll WANT TO KEEP

Has anyone got any suggestions for Christmas decorations to make with a 5 and 7 year old that I'll want to keep and get out every December for the next 30+ years?!

We already have some toilet roll father Christmas and snowmen decorations from their toddler years and some Christmas pictures but I'd like to add something new every year.

Would appreciate any ideas

We have got baubles and the kids have painted hand white and then put hand round bottom of bauble then use pens to draw arms , buttons , hats etc like the pic .

We all collected pine cones a while ago that we will tie red ribbon to to hang on the tree branches then decorate with paints and glitter I also have some gold spray paint (I'll do that bit Confused)

We got clear plastic baubles off eBay and filled them with shiny shit, still put them on the tree every year 🎄

An angel for the top of the tree. We use ours every year. Or decorated jam jars for tea lights.

Saltdough? You could use cookie cutters to make stars etc.

White salt dough decorations recipe

Small jars with glossy sweet wrappers glued on the outside with layers of pva, and a tea light inside.

Larch cones glued onto the edges of a cardboard circle to make a candle holder.

Orange and clove pomanders - we make a new one each year (I finish off their half hearted efforts) and they come out year on year. You need something to help make the holes though.

Painted flower pots for the annual poinsettia gifts.

I love all their Christmassy tat. Xmas Grin
