Every fucking year.

From every-fucking-body

‘Can you send me your lists? For you, DH and DC”

So I have to give everyone eleventy squillion ideas that I don’t have and try to co-ordinate so people don’t double up.

I am incredibly grateful for anything we are given but a) use your own brain, you know and love everyone on that list b) it feels very commercial but it’s what everyone else wants to do so I would be childish not to help them out.

Anyone found an app or any ideas that might help??!!

Amazon wish list?

FusionChefGeoff · 18/11/2017 00:43

Hmmm, might work for some things but not all of it is stuff eg some are e periences etc or ‘nice A5 notebook’ rather than a specific one iyswim - presume Amazon doesn’t have a freestyle category??

People are only trying to make sure you're getting what you want!

I really don't mind giving people ideas of what to get, as long as they're happy to wait a day or 2 for me to think!

But we don't have many people buying for us. I imagine it's probably frustrating the 10th time you're asked!

Not sure if this is any good or not, i was also looking for similar and saved this myself the other day but didn't research any further yet.

Amazon does have a freestyle category. It's called an 'idea'. I've got a calendar on mine, it just says calendar but you can write what you like so you could put your notebook or experience examples.

I don't know how to do it so you'll have to Google or search Amazon help for adding an idea to an Amazon wish list but it's on mine so definitely possible.

I agree, Amazon wish list. You can add vague ideas on virtual post it notes and you can also add ideas from other shops websites saving a link. You just need the amazon assist add-on to your browser and it gives you a button to click whenever you see something nice while surfing and want to add it to your list. Also, for purchasers, it gives them the option to say they have bought it elsewhere but still have it taken off your list.

Great thanks I’ll have a look properly tomorrow

I just use Evernote for present lists and add every suggestion I think of throughout the year and links/photos of things as i see them online or in the shops as I always have my phone on me. When I’m asked for list I can just forward it on.

I used to use Anylist which is also good for sharing info as if one person ticks item off list on the app - the list is automatically updated for all sharers of list.
