...and then returned all the other items (they genuinely were too big/small/whatever) are they going to charge me full price for the Beauty Advent Calendar??

Hmmm, good question! I don't know but I think they won't. And what do you mean full price, like £250 or whatever it is? Nah, I don't think they'd charge you that!!

Yep it’s £250 normally. Can they just charge me without notifying me? Maybe I’ll kust leave it in the box for a few weeks. Got a parking ticket today so not counting my hens luck wise!

Well if you take the items back without the receipt then they will just give you a gift voucher for the current price of the clothes. They wouldnt even know youd bought the Callander in the first place

I8toys · 17/11/2017 18:54

That's a point. They cocked up my order and gave me one item free because they couldn't find something so logged the two items as uncollected. They had better not charge me £250 for their cock up.

OrangeSunset · 17/11/2017 19:10

Oh. So if I bought it all online, I should have just taken the clothes back to a shop, as they wouldn’t be able to link the two.

Shame they’re on their way back to the online distribution place Blush

Missing the point, but what is in the M&S advent calendar to make it cost £250? I am struggling to believe it!! Is it much cheaper if you buy other things with it?

Last year I wasn’t happy with one of the presents I ordered it was totally different in colour to the picture online. They did the return fine no issue with the calander.

buzzmoon · 17/11/2017 19:55

No problem at all, did it last year and did it yesterday. They didn’t batter an eyelid just processed the refund as normal

RenardeRenarde · 17/11/2017 20:03

miraclecure They had food hampers in store last year, I think the spend needs to be on clothes or homewares to qualify for the advent calendar though

JoWithABow · 17/11/2017 20:39

Just with regards to the £250 value. I've seen some shops state similar and then when you read the smallprint it says something like 'based on the value of full sized products' so could be something like that.

On average each item is supposed to be worth £10.40.

Leeds2 · 17/11/2017 20:44

Wow, Jo! I haven't been in M&S for a while, but I'm sure their bubble bath/talc/hand cream didn't used to be £10.40 each! Have to say, I m intrigued!

JoWithABow · 17/11/2017 20:55

Leeds its not all m&s products though. Some are branded items. Not that I think it looks like £250 worth of things to me either! Here's what it contains, maybe someone else would have better knowledge of the price of this type of product;

Leeds2 · 17/11/2017 21:10

Ah! I hadn't understood that it didn't all come from M&S! I have no idea what that lot would cost, interested if anyone does have the necessary knowledge!

Honeydragon · 17/11/2017 21:15

It’s done by the pro rata weight/fluid of each product per gram/ml based on the rrp of each product. You do get your maximum milk for the minimum moo as it were.

I think the M&S calendar is pretty good value, but if you are looking for high-end beauty treats without a minimum spend to qualify, the MrsGloss beauty box is excellent value- mostly full-size products, and £169 worth for just £26. I'm getting one to split between a couple of gifts for my eldest daughter and a friend who loves her luxury skincare.
