Christmas Eve dinner for 6

What are you all having for dinner on Christmas Eve? I'd like to do three courses and have it feel quite luxurious but reasonably light given that we'll be eating turkey etc the following day.

The obvious thing would be fish but my Oh doesn't like it, annoyingly.

Any ideas gratefully received.

How about a seasonal Fritatta with little herb roasted potatoes, winter salad and lemon green beans?

Or a Malaysian chicken curry with coconut rice (Gordon Ramsay recipe in his Sunday lunch book is fab)

I’ve done both of these and generally follow by chocolate pots with Raspberry Coulis or chocolate orange mouse. I always do a tray of canapés first.

This year I am doing tagliatelle with scallops (not sure if your DH will eat a little shellfish - you can also do with chilli and Crab and fresh rocket ) and probably a chocolate espresso cake with marscapone afterwards.

We always finish up with a chocolate fondue with 3 or 4 different types of chocolate (white, milk, dark and orange). We dip marshmallows, Turkish delight, fudge, dried cranberries, crystallised ginger, marzipan and glacé cherries.

We make a Christmas lasagna. Basically it's hazelnut size meatballs , the same size chunk of mozzarella in a tomato sauce, layer as normal and put grated cheese on top.,it can be served with salad or broccoli, green beans etc.

I am intrigued by the Christmas lasagne plan, goose1964! Is this a Genaro (Jamie’s mentor) recipe? Would it work with ready made meatballs, do you think?
