Christmas stocking for DD

Who is 34!! But doesn't behave like it!! This is the first Christmas, since my divorce, that DD will be staying with us on Christmas Eve and I would like to do her a stocking. I haven't got a huge amount of money to spend but would like some ideas for quirky, unusual gifts. I've thought about things like magazines, toiletries, chocolates etc but they're not particularly inspirational. Ideas please!!!

Mini wine, toiletries, book, chocolates

Feliciaxxx · 15/11/2017 23:21

Mini wine would certainly be more than acceptable to her - thank you

Bath bomb, fluffy socks, nice chocolate , a book nail varnish, hand cream. I would any of these.

DD would be happy with a book and some chocolate , but I would get some Christmas socks, a drink of some sort, possibly a sachet of hot chocolate.you could also add some make up,bath bomb etc

Does she like any cult fiction / sci-fi / fantasy, etc? Lots of lovely fun things for fans of tv shows and cult movies.

Feliciaxxx · 15/11/2017 23:41

Ooh thank you! Some great suggestions! EasterRobin - she is a huge Peaky Blinders fan so I'll have a look for related goodies.

I'd love a stocking! Your dd will be thrilled.

GreenTulips · 16/11/2017 20:10

I wouldn't want anything in that list!!

No wonder I'm 'difficult to buy for'

Might go for the book if it's an author I like

Cauliflowercheede · 16/11/2017 20:13

We do stuff like glue, sellatape, seeds, scissors. Stuff you can’t ever have too much of!

SpecialAgentDaleCooper · 16/11/2017 20:19

What about some Retro sweets? Ones she would have had as a child.

Lovemusic33 · 16/11/2017 20:29

I'm 35 and have never had a stocking, in mine I would want,

Yankee candle
Lush snow fairy bath bomb
Baileys truffles
Fluffy socks
A nice scarf
Make up (nice lipstick)
Body shop banana hair mask
Mini Wham bars
Maple syrup
Diary
Body butter
Posh hot chocolate or the stirring sticks.

We do grown up things and some things like jumping beans, slinkies, yoyos, little puzzle mazes, stretchy men, rubix cubes, novelty dice etc. Seems daft but the adult DC's really do enjoy them. And always ask if we are doing stocking can they have the toys.

Other stuff includes lip balm, silly straws, mind bender puzzles, key rings, fluffy socks, fluffy gloves

Feliciaxxx · 16/11/2017 20:36

Some really great ideas! I'm short of imagination these days - too old and cynical by half!

Double Decker spread. Didn't realise it was a "thing" until my 19 year old linked me to it on FB! She has had Fluff in previous years.
Novelty socks.

Feliciaxxx · 16/11/2017 21:22

OMG!! Double decker spread?? Christmas breakfast yum yum!
