Any recommendations for one of the above? For my stepmum, not sure if there's a colour preference, size large or extra large for comfort!
Budget is whatever it costs to get something nice, not a cheap thing that goes horrible after one wash.
I need advice as I don't have one, never have, and don't know where to start looking for a good one!

I recently bought a fluffy knee length one from Tesco. It's purple. I've never had one before and I have never been so cosy in my entire life!! It cost £20 and everyone should own one!

Mines from Morrisons and that's lovely too Smile got it last Christmas and still feels brand new.

Phillipa12 · 15/11/2017 19:51

Mine is also from morrisons and it has been washed a lot, still fluffy though!

CakeNinja · 15/11/2017 19:58

Thankyou, I'll find out if she wants a specific colour and go from there.
I'm not a dressing gown person!

Peacocks have some lovely ones in at the moment I got one about 6 weeks ago really fluffy and washed really well! Hasn't lost its fluffiness at all. Only cost £20 as well

IamChipmunk · 15/11/2017 20:18

I saw some nice soft fluffy ones in Next the other day but i cant vouch for how it would wash!

I recently bought a luxurious new dressing gown. It had to be 100% cotton because polyester just gets a bit... sweaty. Also didn't want anything too heavy (my last one was). And white because a. it's actually easier to get stains out of and b. feels like you're in a fancy spa or hotel. I found the dressing gown of my dreams, the John Lewis Spa Waffle Robe. Only problem is that it was £55 and I've already shrunk it in the bastard washer-dryer 😭

Broken link, here's the right one m.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-spa-waffle-robe-white/p2209602

I have the M&S Rosie for Autograph one and absolutely love it

Lovemusic33 · 15/11/2017 20:59

I have one from Next and so does my dd, they are nice and soft and wash really well. Worth the money.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/11/2017 21:03

I bought DD a Topshop robe (her choice) she hasn't worn it yet but it seems really soft and fluffy . It was grey/white or taupe/white. (IIRC £32)

I waft about in various Carole Hochman robes that have zip fronts so no awkward flashing Xmas Blush

Costco sell some CH or QVC.

Justonedayatatime11 · 15/11/2017 23:05

Next dressing gowns are just lovely. Stay soft and fluffy no matter how many times they're washed.

CakeNinja · 16/11/2017 07:31

Thanks everyone, the only colours banned are green and purple Grin
Not sure these are particularly dressing gown colours anyway, so I've got plenty of choice Smile

Mine was from M&S last year and is amazingly light and fluffy. It washes well and there are several colours.
