Do you have a nice trifle bowl?

Last Christmas the lovely crystal trifle bowl id had for years was smashed by accident. I was so fond of it’s crystal sparkle on the table. I’m now searching for a new one but they seem to be a bit out of fashion. Where did you get yours?

Try charity shops. There are always lots in ours.

Emma Bridgewater have them but they are expensive

Following. I don't have space for one but I'd love one. Has to be crystal!

I have a couple. There are always lots of them in charity shops.

I have an etched glass one currently for sale at m&s. Would love a crystal one but in the absence of £££ for Waterford or similar, it'll have to do!

shoofly · 14/11/2017 17:03

Either I'm really crap at searching or their websites are rubbish, but I've seen beautiful glass and crystal trifle bowls in Marks and Spencer and Debenhams recently. We have a Waterford Crystal one which was a wedding present, but noone likes trifle except me 😞

I’d love to get one from a charity shop so I’ll have a tour of them this weekend. EBay has some beauties but I think they’re teeny weeny.

The M&S ones are lovely, will show off layers. Cake

That etched one is pretty!

My mum gave me 2 trifle Bowls a few years ago that had been in her cupboard for years. 1 crystal one and 1 glass one that I remember holding on my lap taking a trifle to school for a party, it seemed huuuuge at the time. It’s still pretty big eg 20+ people but nowhere as big as it was in my memory!!!

andypandy60 · 14/11/2017 17:13

I do, a crystal one, it was my mother’s.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 14/11/2017 17:30

I got one from Sainsbury’s last year - it’s a simple glass one, not sparkly but does show layers well. Only about £6

HRTpatch · 14/11/2017 17:31

I have my mother's 1940s crystal bowl

ItWentInMyEye · 14/11/2017 17:34

I ordered my MIL one from Waitrose online, think it was about £15 and it was lovely.

Gazelda · 14/11/2017 17:36

I’ve got one that weighs a bloody tonne! My DH and DD don’t like trifle, so it’s sat in the cupboard for 10years.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 14/11/2017 17:39

Ive got one of these its bloody huge

(Actually i have two because some one gave me one)

I dont use them as they are huge and no one eats trifle here
