Easy Inexpensive Christmas Crafts

I can't sew or crochet. I can bake but nothing too complicated. I'm quite time limited through working full time and having two young children. So are there any easy Christmas crafts I can get involved with?

Basic card making could be good for you - kits are fairly cheap and easy to make. You will need to also get some double sided tape, decent scissors, and ruler. Have a look online for ideas, or Aldi had some kits last time I was in there. Good luck and enjoy!

I've not made pom poms, but they look relatively simple if you use a pom pom maker. I'd be interested to hear how you get on!

These little jar scenes are very easy and simple to do. Also little no-knit bobble hats using wool and toilet roll tubes

Salt dough decorations?

DIY Christmas Crackers if you've got a stash of loo roll middles, some tissue paper and some nice ribbon, tape, stickers. Something small like chocolate for the middle. You don't need the bang thing.

Gingerbread men (bake one day, decorate another)

Do you have a Hobbycraft nearby - they have lots of fairly inexpensive Xmas craft things.

Is it to do with the kids? If so, salt dough decorations are fun, though ours have never looked quite like they do on Pinterest...

Go for a walk and collect flattish pebbles/stones, which you can bring home and paint with robins, snowmen etc. If big enough, they can serve as paperweights to give as presents.
Make paper chains.
If you have any Hama beads, preferably in green and red, use them to make decorations for the tree.

Google how to make cold porcelain (posh salt dough with cornflour & school glue)

Roll out a sheet of it. Press evergreen from the garden into it to make a pattern (put the leaves under the sheet of it to pattern both sides) and use biscuit cutters to make tree decorations. (Make holes for hangers using a straw). I think they look fab unpainted with twine hangers, but you can also paint them and use ribbon.

With kids: make tree decorations with pine cones and stick mini pom poms on (use a glue gun). Add twine to hang on the trre.

I made my own wreath for the door last year. There is a video on mumsnet showing how to do it. Very easy.
