Good teen fiction for niece?

She's nearly 11 so nothing too adult but she wants to read something more grown up

I've got The Potion Diaries for my niece for xmas who is nearly 12. Good reviews on Amazon and they don't seem too grown up. I think the set of 3 was £6.99 on the Book People website.

Best YA books I've read in ages are Everything, Everything and The Sun is also a Star by Nicola Yoon. Beautiful writing.
