I’ve seen Very. Mark and Spencer featuring Paddington is out tonight I believe and Debenhams this week. I’ve seen a 4 second clip of what may be John Lewis but not sure when it is out.

Anyone seen any others?

Debenhams- Left me cold. You don't just snog someone you've never spoken to!

Aldi- I LOVED Kevin the Carrot last year but feel a bit disappointed they've just rehashed it for this year.

Tesco- It's ok... I like the Turkey butty Dad, but do sit in the confused camp and cynically wonder whether Tesco are trying to urge those from other religions to spend spend spend at Christmas too.

John Lewis- Ugly, wobbling, boob nosed twat.

M&S- Deeply unimpressed with their reliance on gimmick.

Come on Sainsbury's!

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 10/11/2017 16:44

I think I like the Debenhams one the best.

jo10000 · 10/11/2017 18:20

Watched many of them today on youtube. Love m and s, made me laugh. Liked Boots and Debenhams too. Didn't much like John Lewis, they're overrated imo.

KatieKookaburra26 · 10/11/2017 18:27

The sky movies one is my favourite. It’s basically me and my dm.

GherkinSnatch · 10/11/2017 18:48

Katie the Sky Movies one is the only one that gave me a teary eye. It's her sitting there by herself with the Thailand postcard that does it.

KatieKookaburra26 · 10/11/2017 18:53

It made me and DM cry it’s lovely

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 10/11/2017 18:59

DD loves the Aldi advert. Especially the "I think I've pea'd myself" Grin.

I hadn't even noticed that the Tesco advert showed a muslim family until I read complaints about it! No idea who would actually take the time to complain about that. Has a non-Muslim person never been invited to join in Eid celebrations? I'm never that impressed with anything Tesco produce though TBH - from food to adverts!

I'm yet to see John Lewis, but am keenly awaiting Sainsburys' offering. There's was easily the best last year IMO.

Bubblysqueak · 10/11/2017 19:01

I haven't seen any yet Sad I must make an effort to watch more tv and less peppa bloody pig and paw fucking patrol

Horsemad · 10/11/2017 21:03

Oh I've just seen the Sky one, now THAT did get me choked up!

tootsieglitterballs · 10/11/2017 21:46

Just watched the sky one - that’s lovely!

HandbagCrazy · 11/11/2017 14:22

I’ve been watching these over the last few days and am not really taken with any of them. Even the Tesco one, which could have been great, is ruined by the awful song.

Sky movies ad was the best by a long way I think.
So disappointed, I usually like a few of them Xmas Sad

Fingers crossed that Sainsbury’s hit the right note this year

JonSnowsWhore · 11/11/2017 16:50

Debenhams & sky movies are very good I think. Has sainsburys been shown yet?

louise5754 · 11/11/2017 19:39

What's the debenhams one all about?

louise5754 · 11/11/2017 19:46

Sorry just read the whole thread. I've seen it. It's the first Christmas advert I've seen and I didn't like it lol

tootsieglitterballs · 11/11/2017 19:46

@JonSnowsWhore Sainsbury’s is released Sunday night 😊

ILoveMillhousesDad · 11/11/2017 19:49

Oh no that’s my favourite Xmas song!

Mine too!! I hate it when they slow happy songs down to be sung by a breathy, angsty, pained female.

sluj · 11/11/2017 19:53

Sky movies is the only one that has moved me at all this year. I can relate to a lot of it with children at university and getting ready to move on with their lives but all of us having wonderful memories of Christmas family traditions.

greendale17 · 11/11/2017 19:55

Aldi one is just like last years one

millimat · 11/11/2017 21:15

I'm so disappointed with JL.
Have great hopes for sainsburys.

louise5754 · 11/11/2017 21:24

I liked the sky movies one. It was so obvious the daughter was going to walk through the door though.

Horsemad · 11/11/2017 21:26

Ah but it's the sense of anticipation that does it louise!

SkeletonSkins · 12/11/2017 10:08

My faves are the sky movies one and the boots one, having a sister close in age it just sums it up so well!

dementedma · 12/11/2017 14:49

I like the Boots ones with the sisters

tootsieglitterballs · 12/11/2017 20:14

Oh Sainsbury’s, you have disappointed me.

HandbagCrazy · 12/11/2017 20:38

Tootsie I was really hoping to be able to come here and disagree but I can't. What a rubbish advert! Why aren't the ads very Christmassy this year?
