I’ve seen Very. Mark and Spencer featuring Paddington is out tonight I believe and Debenhams this week. I’ve seen a 4 second clip of what may be John Lewis but not sure when it is out.

Anyone seen any others?

I’m glad the JL was a fake, I kind of thought it was, the animation didn’t look good enough to be theirs

dementedma · 09/11/2017 20:03

Not feeling the love for the M and S one to be honest.

goose1964 · 09/11/2017 20:29

I'm liking the Asda ones,

WitchesHatRim · 09/11/2017 20:32

I like the Asda and Aldi one.

M&S have done well this year too.

LazySusan11 · 10/11/2017 06:59

The JL advert is on YouTube from 8am this morning, is it just me that’s bored of the main aim to tug at heart strings and make people cry over an advert and then buy whatever they’ve touted, this year being a monster (what’s Christmassy about a monster?!) Also some of these adverts are so far away from Christmas now. I wish we could have some nostalgic adverts of Christmases in days gone by.

Ilovesliz · 10/11/2017 07:05

A nice advert about Jesus having a birthday party with Justin Timberlake singing Where is the love?

I'd like to see that.

Dailystuck71 · 10/11/2017 07:10

Looking forward to 8 am!

Also just about to be shown on good morning Britain.

Awwww, what a gorgeous advert ❤️

JL ad is quite sweet, but not very Christmassy. Not my favourite.

WitchesHatRim · 10/11/2017 08:06

Children will like Moz the Monster that breaks wind I think.

LazySusan11 · 10/11/2017 08:07

What’s happened to JL adverts?! 7 million spent on that!

Horsemad · 10/11/2017 08:07

It's ok but I prefer the M&S one I think Smile

KC225 · 10/11/2017 09:16

It's not 7 million spent on the advert. That figure includes the cost of air time to show the advert

Isadora2007 · 10/11/2017 10:15

I thought WTF about the idea of a monster under the bed (and not a cute monster really either)

But I cried at it 🙈

LucheroTena · 10/11/2017 10:32

JL is same old same old

Very one was sweeter

Tesco ad was refreshing, showed reality, people crowded round tiny tables and buggering up the dinner, then falling asleep.

ShowOfHands · 10/11/2017 10:47

I like the Barbour one.

SevenNationArmyWife · 10/11/2017 10:55

JL had a poor offering this year. Tesco’s has the best. M&S did well with Paddington.

A1Sharon · 10/11/2017 14:33

I've just watched the JL one and didn't get it.
Confused And it's as Christmassy as my summer holidays.
Love the Tesco one!

GherkinSnatch · 10/11/2017 14:36

I don't recommend reading the comments under the Tesco advert - full of people calling for a boycott of Tesco and an awful amount of islamophobia and racism based on the tiny clip of headscarf-ed women celebrating Christmas...

JonSnowsWhore · 10/11/2017 14:44

Wtf is wrong with people?? I thought including different religions was a lovely touch

tootsieglitterballs · 10/11/2017 14:45

I love the M&S one (and chuffed with myself as I called it being Paddington weeks ago!) .

I like JL but don’t love it. They just aren’t the snowmen or bear and hare.

Eagerly awaiting Sainsbury’s as they have done brilliantly the last 3 years!

Really liked Debenhams - hubby wasn’t impressed but I thought it was lovely not that having Ewan McGregor in it had anything to do with my feelings at all

Aldi is sweet - next year will be baby carrots I expect - nice for a story to continue!

Shall get googling the others !

GherkinSnatch · 10/11/2017 14:53

It's actually disgusting - I really thought it was a lovely advert.

What's this about Ewan McGregor???

JonSnowsWhore · 10/11/2017 16:29

Ooh baby carrots, squeeeee!

(Btw we have an anti xmas advert thread, probably prompted by all the excitement on this thread Grin)

VanillaSugar · 10/11/2017 16:34

I love the Matalan advert until the dog eats the party food and they all laugh indulgently. That would not happen in my house. not having a dog has nothing to do with it
