Christmas cardigan age 6-8

My tall almost 6 year old daughter would like a new Christmas woolly but is specifying a cardigan rather than a jumper.

Jojo maman bebe have them but only go up to age 5-6 which is a bit small for us. DD is in 6-7 or 7-8 clothes.

She likes sparkles, pink or red, light colours. However, she loved her last jumper of Rudolph which, despite the disadvantage of being navy blue, lit up.

She doesn't like itchy wool much.

Boden ones are a little pricey, and the cardigans aren't quite there with the Xmas silliness, but we might end up there as a last resort.

Any ideas?

Might not be quite right but I saw this the other day and thought it was cute Grin

Sorry just realised it isn’t big enough! Blush

I was about to say Sainsburys but it’s the same one shown above & only up to age 6.... sorry!

eBay have a few going second hand from Next in bigger sizes, but just looked at next current stock & can’t see anything... others on eBay seem to be TU & are smaller.

ooh thanks for looking. I don't mind second hand, though we haven't seen anything on ebay that was quite what we wanted. I don't mind buying a Christmas cardie second hand in a way as they don't get worn much, and it would be almost new though there is a moth risk with natural fibres.

The last 2 years her Christmas jumper was an acrylic one from Matalan with added fairy lights.

She doesn't really like wearing jumpers though, prefers cardies that you can unbutton when you get too warm and that fit over dresses.

I got a nice one in Sainsbury’s last year for DD who is 7.

Not helpful but getting cardigans for kids over size 5-6 is bordering between tricky and impossible.

This is quite fun but low stock so you'd need to move fast.

SIL designs Christmas jumpers so we got all ours as samples in about April. All the buyers want them to design down to cost rather than up to standard: adding seams/edging and buttons/buttonholes adds far too much to price; similarly not enough people would pay for cotton or wool. This is even more applicable when you add expensive extras such as sequins or lights.

Fwiw I've had good festive jumpers in natural fibres from Asda and Peacocks in the past.

I'm now getting ads for a lovely robin one at JoJo but it looks like it's out of stock online. Might be worth a look in store if you have one nearby.

My dd has this. It's very big made. She's four but still wears ages 2-3 with it.

Although that price is steep. I'm sure my Mil paid less than £20 new.

Amazon fashion has a lot of Christmas cardigans for different age groups. Check em out!

@Troubleinstore, where is that from?

I found a colourful Christmas cardigan for my 6 year old in Home Bargains only £6.
