Stocking fillers for parents

So my parents are on their own for Christmas as we are all away. I think they're looking forward to it for a change!

I want to do them a little gift bag/stocking of presents to open as they are saving their gifts until Boxing Day when we are all descending on them so I want them to have something to open.

They are both not the easiest people to buy for but trying to think of some ideas for them to open?

So far I have

Mini bottle of wine
Small box of chocolates
Mini umbrellas (they do weekends away a lot)
Gin and tonic can
Molton brown miniature

Any ideas - I've got a newborn so not functioning on all cylinders and trying to get things sorted as DH away a lot in November/December

Bit random but my parents go on lots of weekends away and end up having picnics/random meals. Got them each a sistema little plastic cutlery set! Very successful present.

Last year we got my mum things like posh marmalade (TKMaxx - it was blood orange and something else flavour), posh candy floss (Harvey Nicks - £10!), mini fancy gins (Harney Nicks again), hotel chocolat minis, old fashioned sweet shop sweets...

Condoms.
Viagra.
Rizla.
Vodka.

Just joking. But I love how we assume old people are boring. I saw a fab drama on tv once where a couple used condoms they found in the parents’ bedside unit when they stayed there and the condom split so they got pregnant and the parents had actually been using them to snuggle cocaine and died when they split in their stomach. Or something like that. Though that now sounds ridiculous so maybe I dreamt it.

Perhaps a game that can be played by two if your parents are in to that.

I do one for my mum every year as she always does one for all of us.

Bed socks, chocolate, those alcohol sets with a miniature and chocs in are all good and those small Yankee candle votives as well. I usually wrap 2 or 3 together like a cracker. Face masks, travel size smellies, mini bottle of wine, keyring.
