Dd loves Harry Potter, she is 7. Ds is only 4 but likes to copy his sister. I was wondering if we could have s thread where we post any good Harry Potter bits we see, cheaper the better!

I went to primark (Oxford st) but all they had were pjs so got dd those. There’s a hoody on amazon for £12.99 which I’ll probably get.

I've got loads from Primark - I know you haven't but if you can have another look - see if you can find the Harry Potter bunting, it's my dds favourite thing - £2.50. I have also got quite a few things from Amazon - stickers for drawers that say Dobbys sock drawer, Lumos/Nox for light switches etc - they take a while to arrive but are a few pounds. Waterstones have some bits and pieces in but can be dear. Sainsbury's also have t-shirts in occasionally. My "big" Tesco has a surprise HP figure ball, I think it's £5 - toy aisle beside the blind bags

There are some lovely HP gifts on Etsy.

name keyring

WreckTangled · 25/10/2017 16:27

Saw some nice hogwarts pjs in asda - was tempted for myself but decided the largest age 13-14 would probably be too small! In the older girls section but nothing girly about them

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/10/2017 19:23

The Works sell tiny glass bottles. Some of those, some glitter and food colouring might be fun, so she can make her own 'potions'.

shebebutlittle · 25/10/2017 22:52

Tickets to HP studios?!

photographyaddict · 25/10/2017 23:02

Etsy, Forbidden Planet, Amazon, EBay and if you want official merch there’s an online store www.harrypotterplatform934.com

WreckTangled · 26/10/2017 07:12

We’re doing be HP studio tour for her birthday next year Smile thanks everyone for the great ideas, slightly miffed that Father Christmas will be getting the credit HmmGrin

I bought two of these snitch

One for a wee girls 10th birthday (Harry Potter Themed) and one for ds and the both loved them. I was really impressed for the price.

QuopQuop · 29/10/2017 19:56

I saw today that there is a primark in London that only sells Harry Potter stuff

Rudedog · 29/10/2017 20:06

I saw on Facebook that Sainsbury's have a Harry Potter range for xmas

notasausage · 02/11/2017 15:54

Primark stuff is mostly for adults but I think the xs will fit my almost 9yr old. It's beyond me why they did this when it is really a children's book.

There are many adults that enjoy the book.

There is also plenty of Primark stuff that is for DC.

2014newme · 02/11/2017 16:38

Agree with ppl most of the primary clothes are for adults

implantsandaDyson · 02/11/2017 18:02

They have did it because kids who read the books and grew up with them when they were actually being written are now adults in their 20s and 30s - that’s their market.

Going on how quick it sells out they are right to do so.

My 7yr dd is also Harry Potter crazy. I’m getting her from aliexpress a light up hermoine wand, plus I got her top trumps from the works for only £1.50
She is getting an our generation doll too and I got her from amazon a hermoine outfit it was £16. It got delivered yesterday and really pleased with it - wand, cloak, skirt, shirt, tie, pullover shoes and socks. She’s going to love it.
Another thing I have got her is a Harry Potter blind box. She loves blind boxes. I got one in Tesco for £5 but can find them in hmv and other similar places for slighter dearer. It’s basically a Harry Potter character figure but don’t know what itl b u til you open it.
Or if she only likes specific characters you could get her a funko pop vinyl of one normally between £10-15.

hashtagelfie · 02/11/2017 18:11

I need to visit that primark shop!!! I wish they did online ordering.

My dsis is buying me the special house edition (hufflepuff) of the first book for Christmas. I’m returning the favour and buying her the Ravenclaw version. Yes we are both in our 30’s but we still love HP!!

I’ve also just ordered some personalised Emma Bridgewater mugs - the blue starry skies - one with Felix Felicis and one with Butterbeer on.

Last year I bought dd some jewellery and a wand from aliexpress. I’m very happy with the quality and the necklaces were less than £1 each and the wand only about £8. Brilliant stocking fillers

UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitter · 02/11/2017 18:17

The oxford street east store is that Tottenham Court Road or down by Hyde park? I want to visit it without dd to buy some Christmas presents but will literally have time to get to store and then have to get the train home (I’m on a course for work) so wondered if anyone knows the closest tube station? Thanks

Dd (11) is obsessed. The primark hoodies in xs would fit most 9yr olds I’d imagine. Dd’s Grydindor one is a medium and it’s not huge on her. She would wear a size 6/8 or 12/13 usually.

I’ve brought lots of primark bits for her over the past year. A good notice board for her bedroom, bedding (although I hate it as it’s grey and black and scratchy) various socks, pj’s, they had Harry Potter glasses for £2. Wand shaped pens for £1.50, house themed notebooks for £2 and pencil cases for £4. Although I think they are actually make up bags.

I’ve promised to take her to platform 9 3/4 before Christmas to have her photo taken.

Oh and I just got hufflepuff scarf for £3 on eBay and the tie for £2.50 and saw gloves as well. All from eBay and arrived in two days.

WreckTangled · 02/11/2017 18:20

It’s the Tottenham Court Road one right opposite TCR tube
