Lift the flap book for two year olds

We do secret santa among friends (so the kids don’t get gazillions that they don’t really need) and my friend has suggested a life the flap book for her two year old.

Has anyone had any they’ve particularly enjoyed? Even better if they’re slightly unusual to reduce the chance of replication....!

Oh Dear is a less well known one from the Dear Zoo bloke.

Try the 'peep inside' books

My two loved the usborne Christmas (poppy and sam) farmyard tales ltf book (just checked and it’s still current) and we still get it out every Xmas eve (mine are now 18 & 16 Blush)

My dd likes a book called 'Busy' by Campbell. It has flaps, twisty things and levers(!)

Speedybloomer · 23/10/2017 08:54

Postman Bear or any of the Tales from Acorn Wood books

Pooshweens · 23/10/2017 08:55

Another one for Peep inside books. My toddlers favourite one is night time

Shadow666 · 23/10/2017 09:02

The Karen Katz's books are great like Where's baby's belly button? They're strong, which is important as a lot of lift the flap books break easily.

ADsBadAccent · 23/10/2017 09:02

My Dd loves the tickle book by ian whybrow and the dear santa version of dear zoo

It's not lift the flap but 'Press Here' is a brilliant interactive book for that age. You have to do things like press on the yellow dot 3 times and then when you turn the page there are 3 dots or blow really hard at the dots and on the next page you have blown them all to one side.
My DC all loved it.
And the original 'where's spot?' Was a favourite lift the flap book.

Fox's socks, postman bear, hide and seek pig and rabbits nap by Julia Donaldson. You can usually get them as a set. Also spot and dear zoo

Stompythedinosaur · 23/10/2017 09:42

Agree that the Julia Donaldson ones are fab.

It's not a lift the flap book, but Gallop! by Rufus Seder is great for that age - the pictures appear to move.

Dear Santa by the Dear Zoo guy is a popular read in our house, even outside of Christmas.

DS also loves the Usborne Peep Inside books.

UnaOfStormhold · 23/10/2017 10:19

Jingle Jingle is very popular here - nice chunky flaps too.
