Sorry if this has been posted before! Dd will be 18months at xmas and I'm not sure what to get her. I'm not 'against' toys but there is so much on offer I'd like to get her something useful if you know what I mean. Her bday was in June so she's already got a trike and a kitchen and is ok for clothes at the moment too

When do kids start using chalkboards? I love the idea but think mine is too young

Mallowmarshmallow · 19/10/2017 21:19

Cooking stuff: an apron, hat, gloves, bowl spoon and cookie cutters....

My 18mo (2 in March) will be getting a nice crockery set for either Christmas or her birthday. Tyrrell Katz do some quite lovely plates/bowls/cups. DD1 already has the dinosaur ones, so DD2 may be getting jungle or seaside.

newmums2016 · 20/10/2017 08:16

Wow, loads of great ideas that I hadn't thought of. Thanks everyone xx

Bubble bath.

Books! Poetry for the very young. Nursery Rhymes book. Lots of fantastic children's' books out there and good for a few years. Books like "We're going on a Bear Hunt", "The Last NooNoo", "Avocado Baby" are fantastic. Best prep language development.

No idea I'm afraid, newmums. We got DD1's from a little souvenir shop so not cheap, will probably get DD2's from Amazon. Might wait until Black Friday and see if they are on sale then.
