DS will be 4.5 at Christmas and he seems to have outgrown loads of his toys and I'm stuck on what to get I don't want to get things that he'll grow out of super fast so what are your 5&6 year olds asking for or their favourite things atm?

DS1 just turned 6 and is asking for a Power Rangers megazord (or anything power ranger related basically), a star wars nerf gun or a razor scooter.

DS2 is 3 1/2 and Batman obsessed so he'll be getting Batman toys.

Thankfully (or annoyingly depending on which way you look at it), we live on a small island and don't have cable TV so the kids aren't subject to any advertising (aside from what their friends have got). Which is a blessing generally but make is bloody hard to work out what to get them as gifts.

Oh and they're both getting Hungry Hippos as a joint gift.

We're thinking about Guess Who and Dobble kids. DS(almost5) could probably manage Jr Monopoly but DD(2) would ruin it for him I think so we'll leave that until she's a bit older and they.

While it's not a board game, UNO has gone down excellently with DS when I taught him how to play it this half term. And cheap so it could go in a stocking.

Ive been reading the replies with interest - I think it will be a mixture of lego, playmobil and books here.

We've recently borrowed in laws Uno blast, DS (6) loves it and we have had 3 or 4 games per night.
