Going away for Xmas - any ideas?

We really don't fancy Xmas at home this year and need some ideas. It's possibly a bit late to be booking something but hopefully we can get away somewhere decent at this stage! Preferably abroad but somewhere that's still xmassy so nothing hot and sunny. Kids are 13 and 10 and budget is about 4k for 5 days to a week.

All ideas/recommendations appreciated!

I'm not sure if your budget will quite stretch but I spent xmas a few years ago in South Africa.
The beaches near Cape Town (boulders ), vineyards and CT itself were fantastic and the weather was beautiful. I would go back if I had the money
Also no jet lag

Copenhagen is lovely, and definitely not hot, around xmas.

I've always been intrigued by somewhere like Seoul for Christmas. Still Christmassy, but in a completely different way. Crazy long flight though.

Christmas in Prague and Reykjavik were amazing - cold and Christmassy (had snow in both places). Different to being at home, but enough similarities to make it great iyswim 🎄
