Ideas to fill baubles

onedayatatime73 · 15/10/2017 09:25

I've bought a load of clear plastic baubles that to fill with gifts for the staff at work. One person opens one a day like advent. Need inspiration for gift ideas - not too expensive

So far have
Scratch card
Chocolates
Sweets
Mini soap
Mini toothpaste
Plectrum
Mini baileys

Any other suggestions please?

Little succulents, had one given to me last year which was sprayed silver & it was lovely

Any perks you can give your staff? Like you bring them coffee all day or do the lunch run, an extra half hour break that kind of thing.

What a terrible waste of plastic, this is really bad for the environment. All you're doing is creating loads of plastic waste from the baubles and from the junk inside. A plectrum is useless to 90% of the population, and who would want a mini toothpaste as a gift? Do your staff members need you to buy them either a plectrum or a pretty useless mini toothpaste? It's just junk that's going to end up in the bin.

Ricekrispie22 · 15/10/2017 15:23

A plectrum is a bit specialised, don't you think? Or are you going to make sure that whoever opens the advent calendar on that particular day plays the guitar? And are you sure about the mini toothpaste?
I really like the idea though.

Key ring
Hot chocolate sachet
Wine stopper
Bottle opener
Fridge magnet
If it's mainly a female workforce, then you could do lip balm and bath bombs.

Have to agree with PP. Pointless plastic waste.

How about some little parcels with individual luxe chocs inside?

Ohwell14 · 15/10/2017 15:29

Nail varnish
Cheap headphones
Gift card for starbucks/Amazon

I might be wrong, but I'm imaging that the plastic baubles are for the office Christmas tree and will be reused the following years, making them no more or less environmentally friendly/unfriendly than a box of regular shatter-proof baubles.

I'd be inclined to go for small but nice consumables like Lyons coffee bags, nice tea bags, individual chocolates, Yankee votives, etc.

Oncewaswho · 15/10/2017 16:22

I'd agree with sticking to consumables and a plectrum seems a bit random and unlikely to get used. Also try and keep them fairly equivavelent, toothpaste person might feel a bit hard done by compared to Baileys person. I'd just fill them with Lindors myself but you could mix it up with other sweets or biscuits.

Mini bottles of perfumes/aftershaves?
Tie pins
Brooches

onedayatatime73 · 15/10/2017 19:52

Yes I was planning to reuse them each year! Plectrums are for someone who uses them and mini toothpastes for someone who has a teethbrushing obsession and is always running out.
Thank you for the ideas v useful
