Christmassy songs that aren't actually Christmas songs...

Nearly half term so I'm just starting to think about my Christmas music playlist! I like to listen to songs that make you feel Christmassy that aren't just the classic Christmas cheese.

So far I've got things like some Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, the Yule Ball music from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the intro music from Home Alone, the piano version of The Way You Look Tonight...

So what are your favourite songs that give you that warm Christmassy feeling inside? I'm open to all genres except perhaps Slade ;)

Yes, @MrsPworkingmummy, it was Christmas number 1.

Two Become One by the Spice Girls is another one which sticks in my mind for the same reason!

Isn't A Spaceman Came Travelling about the baby Jesus?

U2 Angel of Harlem for the "cold and wet December day" line.

Birdy - White Winter Hymnal

Oh yes, Caravan of Love (Christmas 86 along with Wicksy from Enders "we almost made it" or something? )

Jon and Vangelis Find My Way Home and Abba One of Us and Super Trouper are also non Christmas themed Christmas songs.

(I am going to do a playlist tomorrow from this thread!)

KLF and Tammy Wynette with Justified and Ancient. I've just googled it and it was in the charts over Christmas 1991 but I associate it with Christmas as it was the last song I heard in the car before I went into the supermarket to do my Christmas food shopping for 2008 which was a white Christmas.

Wicksy from 'Enders - song was called Every Loser Wins Wink I might have bought it on vinyl single and know all the words

Also Justified and Ancient for me - I got the cassette single in my stocking one year.

Grin I might have written all the words out into a scrapbook . I remember him bursting into song round the piano in the Vic. Very surreal moment.

I also love A Winters Tale. We went to a David Essex concert in November once, and as the intro he said 'in a few weeks this will be playing all over the supermarkets'!

S club 7 - never had a dream come true

Girls aloud - sound of the underground

Leonard Cohan or Alexandra Burke - hallelujah

Spice girls - 2 become 1

Makes me feel all festive Smile

Agree with Frog Chorus sounding Christmassy.

Another one is, 'Dear Jessie' by Madonna. Sounds Christmassy to me but wasn't meant to be.
