Ideas for 10 and 12 year old dc

I'm late starting this year, and really lack inspiration for my eldest 2. I need ideas for stocking and "big" presents. They're at the age where little toys/ bits have lost some appeal, but not yet much into clothes etc. DS(12) is a bit geeky, likes Lego (but possibly starting to grow out of it), tech and his PS4. I can get him books, which I know he'll read and enjoy, but beyond this I'm stumped!
DD(10) likes reading/ art/ making stuff and is starting to like music/ want her room redecorated nicely (need to dissemble 3 beds to swap her room with my youngest 2 dc first so not an easy option for Christmas though). Can do a few stocking fillers easily but need more ideas.

Thinking hard for my twin 11 year old boys too.
We are contemplating a more adult Lego set like Starwars Death Star etc. Maybe he'd like that though not seen price yet

My DS is 10 and he will be getting:

A game for the PS4
A kindle tablet
A lamp for his room
A couple of other bits and bobs - book, t-shirt, emoji poo cushion

His stocking will have:

I've already bought:
Star Wars plectrums
Football club fidget spinner

I'm sure there's something else but I can't remember off the top of my head.

My ds is ten, and this is the first year I've really struggled for him. He's too old for most toys but too young for teen stuff. He's getting an Xbox one to share with his brother, and a game for it. After that, I'm a bit stumped. Thinking a hamper of American\japanese snacks, a nerf gun, a Pokemon belt and some books. Sounds a bit miserable written down, and nothing really to play on Xmas day (I don't want them on the Xbox for the entire day!)

How about a 3D pen & refills. This one was on to the other day & looked good & has good reviews.

I've struggled a bit with my dd of a similar age. There isn't much she actually wants either. Board games she still likes and are the only things played with by her now really. So apart from those, books and adding to things she collects (pop vinyls and disney shoe tree ornaments) I don't know. I'm thinking of a graphics tablet but not 100% happy with that cos not sure she'd be that bothered by it.Actually she did mention she liked the little live pets so will get her something like that too, she was looking at the ladybird thing for ages in the entertainer the other day. She's grown out of toys really but still like to get a little something to 'play' with on the day.

OOh just remembered she likes those 3d puzzles too, amazon do a lovely plastic panda one and also the light up big ben/eiffel tower ones look good too.

John Lewis is stocking the Lego stationery range. It's pricy, but extraordinary. I love the buildable ruler.
TruffleShuffle is selling a Nintendo heat change mug and Nintendo decals for jazzing up gadgets and furniture etc... There's also a Nintendo water bottle. I can't decide which mug to get my son though.... he'll also like the PlayStation mug and Game Over mug. Also from TruffleShuffle, I'll be buying the Pokeball headphones for my nephew.
I'll also be putting a Metal Earth model kit in my sons stocking and some unbelievably realistic chocolate sprouts from ChocOnChoc (available in John Lewis).

Also, it's worth noting that there is a Lego creator range with a recommended age of 14 plus. Sure a 12 year old could handle it though. If your 12 year old is a model building fan, then have a look at the Wrebbit 3d range of puzzles.

I'm completely out of ideas. I,ve bought loads of books this year.

Might get vouchers for clothes, smellies, nail polish, pjs slippers.

She never really asks for much, I'm so uninventive. Although last year I bought a lovely sewing basket, filled it with bits & bobs from eBay and a lovely embroidery hoop kit from etsy - that was a smash hit.

My brother bought her a PS4 last year -but she's not a gamer I don't think.

I've just got my 10 year old daughter who loves dewing and specially drawing on Paint on the PC, a Wacom Intuos graphics tablet. £10 off at Argos at the moment. Last year I got her a light box for drawing/tracing and it was a big hit, she used it most days until about a month ago. Well worth the money, it was about £30.

She has asked for Tokidoki stuff, Pokemon stuff, DS games, manga and anime.

Oh she's also asked for an Amazon echo Dot which is a perfect present for an older child. They can ask for any song they want, ask for jokes, Trivia, help with homework, lots of quizzes etc you can use, audio books, alarms, timers, etc

I agree the echo dot is great for that age, my dd has one and is used regularly and a hit when friends come over too!

For dd perhaps a djeco set like the butterflies one. Have a look at pottery cool, my dd loves hers, but is 8, so not sure of age range.

For stockings past gifts and this year's include:- Rubiks cube, slinky, mini monopoly / cluedo card game, novelty socks (e.g. Fave footy team for ds1, shopkins for dd) new notebook, but nicer than the cheap ones I pick up for them at Asda etc, maybe paperchase or somewhere, fancy pens. Usual choc coins / fruit / sweets tube.

I've just a bought DS10 the Tim Peake book and a Tim Vine joke book! Struggling a bit as he doesn't really 'want' anything.
