Where do you stash the presents?

Most of what I've got so far is in DDs wardrobe under a mountain of outgrown clothes on top to hide them from DS but I'm running out of space 😩 Big box of Lego on top of our wardrobe and another set of Lego is still in its Amazon box in the lounge but DS thinks it's more of OHs tools 🙄 Where do you put everything?!

The boot of the car is always my fave, until it comes round to the weekly shop! Sometimes leave them at my mums until Christmas eve, sneak them in when the kids are asleep (or pretending to sleep!!)

Ours are under a Gro blind on top of our wardrobes at the moment. But we think DD (4) is going to click if the pile goes down overnight on Christmas Eve, so before we put the tree up we're going to put the presents in the loft and put the tree and decorations under the blind. We haven't quite sussed how we will get the presents out of the loft on Christmas Eve, but we will sort that nearer the time!

In our holiday suitcases which are in my wardrobe so dc are used to them
being there. I do lock them with the wee padlocks when the presents are in them. Easy to get presents downstairs too on Xmas eve! My dc are older now (teens) so presents are getting smaller!

Ds(13) presents are smaller (and more expensive) now so go in drawers or wardrobe wrapped so he knows they are there just not exactly what they are.

When he was younger we used the loft for bigger things.

In locked suitcases

Where we used to rent, I'd hide presents under and behind the futon in the loft room. Bought a house without a loft room and no spare room so had to hide them in holiday suitcases, which are in the garage. They're getting full now so god knows where I'll be able to put the rest!

Bulky things up the loft, smaller items I put in bags and hang them on hangers in the wardrobe inbetween clothes that cover them

elQuintoConyo · 14/10/2017 22:35

On top of the wardrobe in bags for life. They look boring. Plus the wardribe is really tall and i can't get up there without a ladder, let alone a 6yo.

We don't have a loft or a garage. We do have a futility room, so sometimes hide presents in there, depending on their size.

I have The Christmas Book where i keep track of what i have bought for whom and where i have put things! It is very handy.

Spare room in a drawer(s) behind the bed. In terms of presents for DP, we're not doing gifts for each other this year but previously I've hidden them in one of my drawers and told DP to please not go in there. No idea where he hid mine.

My 10 year old has never gone snooping. Which I think is odd as I remember searching from very young. This year I've been chucking most things in the downstairs cupboard under the stairs. Things in Amazon boxes stay in them. I have a couple of big ones in my bedroom, and I've started stashing some on top of the babies wardrobe. They'd never look in there. Also have the attic and upstairs cupboard under the stairs to stash and even in the 4 year olds bedroom would go unnoticed. My problem will be finding them all!
