I saw eBay one so it's legitimate, it's safe to buy

Chippytheelf29 · 06/10/2017 07:55

The hatchimal for 30 odd pound on eBay are not legitimate. There from China. Just so you know. It probably looks the real deal in the box but you might have trouble with it hatching etc.

Bornfreebutinbiscuits · 06/10/2017 09:42

oh no thanks.

BastardGoDarkly · 06/10/2017 17:21

Urgh, yeah that's what I'm afraid of. Will Amazon ones be the real deal?

I brought my two one from Amazon, they were £47 each. I didn't want to pay full price, after friends children had them last year and were less than impressed.

2014newme · 06/10/2017 17:25

There's a thread somewhere where people say their kids did not play with it after hatched. It's a 24 hour wonder.

BastardGoDarkly · 06/10/2017 17:31

I thought you taught them stuff?! This is dds next big present after her bike, I'm stuck what to get her otherwise Confused

Read the thread or post on the Christmas page and ask about them.

Bumbumtaloo · 06/10/2017 17:37

My youngest dd has announced she wants one for Christmas so I’ve been looking around and Costco definitely seem to be the cheapest. Too many fake ones on Ebay, they are branded HatchiAnimals but show pictures of Hatchimals lots of negative feedback seems to have started coming through. Amazon have fakes too, I tend to stick with stuff supplied by Amazon now - after a bad incident.

SavoyCabbage · 06/10/2017 17:38

What about a furby? At least you can actually play with them long term.

BastardGoDarkly · 07/10/2017 01:37

I am on the Christmas page. 2014 Hmm

I'll look into Furbys, thanks.

Was told tonight the new one has just come out, with two inside, that interact with each other, and get sad if they're apart Grin

BastardGoDarkly the new double ones are £75 in Smyths.

I’ve decided to get my dd’s the mini collectible ones they are £4.99 for two and they come in bigger pack sizes. If dd2 is still insistent that she wants one I will probably get her one for her birthday.

Bumbumtaloo · 07/10/2017 11:56

These are the ones I’m getting for my dd’s

My dd has asked for one as well this year. The new hatchimals look even worse quality than last year though. There are also two inside an egg instead of one.
