Daughter of a friend. Haven't seen her since she was about 5 so no idea. Don't want to ask her mum because she won't tell me. Hmm

Budget maybe £10.

Primark do fluffy bunny hot water bottles or unicorn ones, blackets too.

Stationery - notebooks, gel pens, funky rubber etc. TkMaxx do some packs of notebooks. My son got a girl once in his secret santa - I got a pack of 3 notebooks one was pink and butterflies, one duck egg blue and one was rock chick style. He was a bit "meh" but then came out saying Girl X and her friends thought she had the best present of all!

No idea re foot size. Her mum has quite large feet though so not sure slippers would be good.
A blanket seems quite... practical? I know my daughter loves getting blankets as presents but shes odd. Grin
Plus I should have said, I need to post it so I can imagine a blanket costing more to post than it did to buy.
Thank you for the suggestions though.

Ah. Stationary is a possibility.

Debenhams had small kids unicorn blackets, i doubt it would cost much to post, quite light and fit in a mail bag no probs. Or a hottie?

Emoji cushion - or any other cushion - loads in supermarkets in the kids bedding dept. Should only be £2.85 to post second class.

Notebook or diary with a lock.
Nail varnish/Nail varnish dryer
Personalised hair brush
Actually anything personalised goes down well.
Wallet
Sharpies
Gel pens

my 8 year old dd would love-

Anything a little bit “grown up” so a wee leather effect handbag, a purse, little manicure set, stationery like a Filofax style set, or a nice pen and writing paper.
