This is our first christmas as parentsSmile We don't have a lot of money and we usually have a lot of people to buy for as DP has lots of siblings and nieces and nephews.

To try and save money we decided to only buy for parents and kids as all our siblings are adults anyway. We also decided to not buy anything to give from DD as she will only be 8 month old.

I was thinking about making a 2018 calender for my parents and my DP's parents with pictures of DD. I know people who have done this before but I don't know if they have given the gift from themselves or from the DC. So I don't want to make the calender if it is usually given from the DC

Btw I know we still have halloween and bonfire night but I'm planning on being organised this year! Just wondering what everyone's thoughts areSmile

You're massively overthinking this Smile

It's a Christmas present; there's no "usual" about it. It's a lovely present to make if you want to.

Hi Kat, like you this will be our first Christmas as parents too! I have a rather large family so this year I've decided to give everyone Christmas stockings full of little bits and bobs - they'll all be catered to each family member which makes them thoughtful and you can fill them cheaply enough!
Oh and good job on being organised, I'm trying to be like that too. I started shopping in July. Wink

I do one with all the grandkids on for my parents (ie inudes my sibling's children). My folks love it. I'm sure yours will too. I try to pick pictures to suit the month (I definitely over think it!)

It was a bit of an effort the first year but gets easierSmile

Thanks for the replies!

PotteringAlong I always over think everything. Definitely wish I didn't!

Canofpeas yeah this is what I was thinking of doing! Looks like that's some presents sorted

I don't give a gift from DS and a gift from us because we are all the same family so if I do something like painted pottery with DS and give that it's from all of us
