Where can I find a nice hotel for a Christmas break?

We (two adult couples) are thinking of going away for a short (about 3-4 days) break over Christmas either in the UK or abroad. Is it possible to find something all inclusive and Christmassy for less than £500 each?

Personally I think there are some beautiful hotels in North Yorkshire that do lovely Christmas packages - log fires, good food, country walks etc.

I love this place - slightly more than your budget, but a lovely spot!

We had a lovely Christmas at this place pre dd with my parents.

I can’t see anything about Christmas in particular on the webpage though atm.

The place tootsie linked to is somewhere we go for lunch or and then - lovely food, lovely staff.

@BarchesterFlowers their afternoon tea is lovely too! It's the fires and decor that make it at Christmas time for me though - I just love it! Haven't been for a couple of years now, think I'll be having words with hubby...

We do a lot of walking that way tootsie, we meet up with family who live near the coast as it is 25 miles from home for both of us.

We are always starving when we get there, not sure afternoon tea would cut it for DH and BIL!

Helmsley is lovely! And the countryside is just stunning round there.

The Talland Bay hotel near Looe in Cornwall or Fowey Hall Hotel would also be great. Might be over budget though.

For your budget you could pribably rent a stunning cottage though!
