Studio Catalogue-Technic make up any good?

Hi, I'm wondering if the Technic brand make up from Studio is any good?

I was thinking of getting some of the palettes for my two teenage daughters, they don't wear tons of make up everyday, but do like to dabble and try different styles, but if there isn't much pigment in the colours then they'd be disappointed.

Any one tried them?

I'm not a beauty addict but I do like to buy odd bits and pieces of nice make up - Charlotte Tilsbury, Nars, Bobby Brown etc. I've just bought 2 Technic lip pallets because it was the end of the month and I was broke and couldn't afford anything else. They each have six colours in each - a couple of glossy ones and the rest more Matt although not super velvet Matt IYSWIM. My first thought was how lightweight they were which didn't bode well. They do feel cheap and are a little fiddly to open. I was pleasantly surprised though with the colours - reasonably well pigmented and survive being blotted. The lip brushes also don't molt everywhere like some cheap brushes do. My favourite was Show me Honey which has some good pinky nudes ( very Bobbi Brown) but I also liked Scarlet Fever which has very wearable reds. I was impressed enough to order 3 eye shadow pallets so I'm waiting for those to be delivered now. I can update after the weekend if you want ? ( I did think they'd be great in a DIY beauty advent calendar. ) I would say 3.5 or 4 stars out of 5 because they're great for the price. I hope this helps?

Save the cash and get some from tam beauty or superdrug, they have some dupes for too faced pallettes. The technic makeup isnt the best and superdrug do some fab deals.

Unicorn81 Thanks for the links - I love those palettes in the first link, I think those would make great presents, especially as a main gift.

SpiritedLondon Thankyou for the great review...I'd love it if you would let me know what the eyeshadows are like please :)
I was thinking they'd make great Advent Calendar gifts too - I try to get tiny useful gifts for that so was thinking lots of the Technic sets could be split up, 18 lip glosses for £7.99...bargain between the two girls! Or the Aluminium Beauty Case which has over 24 items, plus the case itself for £14.99...that might be the way to go and get a few other bits for the stockings :)
