Best toys for older baby?

DS will be 10 months at Christmas. Don't want to go over board as my mum has already bought most of the stock in Smyths

So far, I'm planning on getting him:
Ball pit and balls or sensory some
Wooden jigsaws
Stacking cups

ILs have already gotten him a lovely wooden activity table.

Any other suggestions on what to get him? He'll be one in Feb and he won't understand anything but would like to get him one or two more things.

He has tons of rattles and books!

Bath toys

My two enjoyed a peg puzzle around that age, particularly a nice wooden one with animals.

Another hit was the fisher price animal train (although the music was quite annoying).

Also baby musical instruments.

And a plui rain cloud bath toy. They still use that, actually.

i think what youve chosen is fine and plenty for his age, especially if hes getting loads from your mum too. If youre already struggling to think of stuff, then youll be stuck for his birthday if you get more now, and in all honesty, there is absolutely no point getting tonnes at this age

I think the brio wooden dog pull along is a brilliant first birthday present.

Some brio/big jigs train set or similar. Won't be old enough yet but will have fun watching you/DP playing with it for now and will definitely be playing with it by next Christmas, so will be happy for more! At around one our DS loved watching us build the tracks then pulling it all apart.

A Galt Frog in the Box.

Best toy ever. And you can fire Xmas sweets at each other with it too!!!
