Looking for inspiration for a 'main' present for DD2 (age 6).
Budget is about £50-70.
She already has bicycle, scooter, hand-me-down tablet.... we've got lots of ideas for smaller value presents, but totally lacking ideas for a main present.
Would be very grateful for any ideas FlowersFlowersFlowers

Dd is 5.5 we're looking at getting a keyboard. She loves music and dancing and I think this will compliment nicely.

DD (6 next month) wants a road bike - she is very nippy and confident on her mountain bike. In her dreams I say.

Does she need to have a 'main present'. It seems a bit pointless to buy something just so she gets a main present. Why not a few extra smaller presents that you know she'll like?

DD is hankering for a playmobil cruise ship.

dantdmistedious · 23/09/2017 22:39

Dts want a tiny treasure doll and London Lego.

We're going to get them micro scooters too as they have outgrown the minis.

I got my (then 6yo DD) a karaoke machine last Christmas. She loves it. It's used every weekend for karaoke/listening to music and every night for audio books.

Does she like dolls? My dd at that age wanted more than anything, dolls and more dolls, any dolls furniture and and a dolls house which is as tall as herself, even taller than her!
Does she mention liking anything specific?
How about a boombox- her own radio cd player, even though it is rather old fashioned...
Again at that age my dd wanted a double buggy for her dolls, as realistic looking as possible.
How about a battery operated atm cash machine, she can put in her coins and bank notes and practices in saving money as well as improving her counting/mental maths. The atm machine has a card slot and she sets her own pin number so she can put in/withdraw cash as she pleases with her card just like a real cash machine / real card. We had bought my dd a black version when she was younger but i can't find it being sold anymore. However this pink version is on sale in argos:

Unfortunately my dd grew out if all these now so I, myself need inspirations about what 12 year old girls want Smile

Sylvanian Families are lovely. My DD13 still gets all hers out the loft occasionally. Other people can contribute to the collection too.

My 7yo has a dressing table for her main gift this yr. I got her a really lovely one from b&m for £40!

Does your DD like dolls? Maybe some of the big accessories for our generation or designafriend dolls?

Lego set
Camera
Vtech superstar mic
Kiddizoom action cam
Dress up storage rail with costumes

Thanks for all your great ideas - there are definitely some that I am going to investigate.
Karaoke/CD player is certainly something that I can see her using a lot. Also going to look into the ATM machine...

She loves playing but hasn't ever shown much interest in dolls. She loves playmobil, sylvanians, my little ponies and lego but has loads of them all (partly through being the youngest DD and getting inheriting toys as well) and has recently declared that she thinks she has enough now!

@ilikethatsong123 that's pretty much the same age as my eldest DD. No shortage of ideas for her (Although she definitely will not be getting all of them!)
Amazon Dot
ipod
Some goodies from Lush
Having her ear's pierced + earrings
She'd love a laptop but budget won't extend that far
Clothes
Pointe shoes (She's a dance fanatic and does several classes a week)

GingleBelle thank you for the ideas for my dd. Somehow I managed to stay totally oblivious to the latest technological things and i didn't know anything about Amazon Dot but it looks like something I would like to have myself as well. So I'm definitely going to look into that. I loved that idea, thanks.

My dd6 also has her eye on the playmobil ship but we're getting her that for her birthday which isn't long after Christmas. She also would love the tiny treasures doll with the curly hair!
