I have two DDs aged 3 and 18 months, and am starting to think about stockings. So far my list is totally uninspired with chocolate coins, satsuma, and a magic flannel each.

What are you putting in stockings this year?

We are planning on doing not too many toys but I was thinking of getting the in the night garden value play set from Argos and wrapping the characters individually.

Magic flannel, noted ;) thanks!

DD last year (3) had:

small (fake) my little pony
nail varnish
a sweetie
an orange
a magazine
a tube of magic snow
a small torch

DelurkingAJ · 17/09/2017 20:12

Last year DS1 (just 4) got Lego, Xmas socks, character pants, personalised Nutella, choc orange, chocolate coins, a book, a magazine, magic flannel, character bubble bath.

Want2bSupermum · 17/09/2017 20:14

A box of band aids and a roll of selotape. Keeps mine occupied for 2-3 hours. Get the scotchgard selotape as it comes off without damaging the walls.

Yy toothbrush, satsuma, chocolate coins.

We put a comic in - makes the stocking a lovely big plump stocking shape and slows them down a bit looking at the pictures and wrestling the tat off the front.

Schleich animals and Hot Wheels cars are good for stockings.

Glow sticks.

New slipper socks.

Our 3 DC have to have nominally identical stockings. It's the law. Can have three different toothbrushes but can't do one having a toothbrush and another having a face cloth.

They LOVED bath bombs last year, come to think of it. Will add to my list while I remember!

SpaghettiAndMeatballs · 17/09/2017 20:38

Tattoos - my DS(3) would cover his whole body with them given half a chance (DP and I, and no family members have tattoos - so I don't know why)

yes, to glowsticks, hotwheels, kinder, choc coins, bath bombs, small plastic animals - all loved by older brother and younger.

Small paint set (if child so inclined), crackers.

I'd be careful on the magic flannel etc. if (like mine) they'll be in the stocking without supervision - DS2 is generally pretty good, but I think that a magic flannel would at least be licked as it's sweet sized, and could be dangerous

I stupidly made my DCs enormous stockings out of their old baby clothes so I always try and put in a big magazine or soft back picture book.
Orange in the toe, think we'll be getting socks, pants, toothbrush, they like that kind of thing thankfully! Plus chocolate coins, probably bubbles, playdough.
