Nice Set of Dinosaurs - Where from?

Looking for a nice set of dinosaurs for an almost 4 year old. Want decent quality, so don't mind a bit - Schleich always seem a bit too expensive though.

Does anyone have any ideas? TIA

Schleich are worth the money imo, although some with moveable arms can be broken without too much effort! They often have 3 for 2 in toy shops. The Natural History Museum shop sell some nice ones, and we've had some good sets from Toys r Us too, and they're well priced too. My 3yr old is dino obsessed and has about 50 different ones, so I've had a good look around!

Compleatly the other end of the price spectrum, but these are still going strong after about 3 years. They gave been frozen in ice, hovered up, thrown about etc. Probably not technically accurate, but my two have had lots of pay out of them.

yes to schleich.
expensive - but for a reason.
they are reasonably acurate and great quality.

Try charity shops. We have got some amazing ones over the years for 25-50p each. It's the kind of thing that kids collect then grow out of, so often a large collection is donated.

Where are you? My ds was obsessed with dinos and we had every set going! Got some of them second hand and still have loads! If look on gumtree or ebay, I bet there are loads of people like me out there with attics full of them! And they don't wear, so second hand don't look any different

The Schleich volcan playmat with 3 biggish dinosaurs is good. I got it on amazon when it went down to 11.99

Yes, yes to Schleich. DS1 is coming five and loves the detail and accuracy of them. He get quite irritated by our cheaper ones that have the wrong number of claws, or the wrong type of teeth.

Also have a look on ebay as you can get bundles for good value.

I got that too, thecraddock. It's brilliant for that price. It's about £22 ish at the moment though.

If you are thinking of Schleich, they currently have some half price dinosaurs. I have just bought a set with three dinosaurs (including two large) and a set with a large and small dinosaur, plus accessories for £14.99 each. They also have the large allosaurus for £6 - they're not the latest models, but most kids won't know that.
