Lego gifts but not Lego...??

DS (age 6) is lego mad and all he ever wants as a present is lego. However as much as I'd love to give him a whole sack of lego, he will also be getting lego from other family members.
What else can I get him that isn't an actual lego set? I was thinking a torch or a watch. Anything else?

My son used to have a blue brick alarm clock for his beside table

Wiifitmama · 17/09/2017 14:13

If you go to the Lego store, you can find lots of things Lego related that aren't actual lego sets: lego coin banks, pencil holder pot things, storage containers, etc. We have lego rulers, lego erasers, etc.

My two boys have Lego Star Wars alarm clocks (look like a storm trooper mini figure) and night lights. Also watches and stationary sets. The storage boxes that look like huge bricks are cool, they stack like Lego too, we've got a few of those in different colours. We're on a Lego ban now as between them they have loads, but my eldest has said he'd like a technics motor set and some of that Lego tape that seems to be advertised everywhere.

Lego storage boxes like the heads or the bricks go down well here.

My son has a Lego drinking bottle and a Lego Batman key ring on his book bag which he really likes
As a PP has said Lego Shop has loads of Lego stuff that isn't actually bricks

TellMeItsNotTrue · 17/09/2017 14:18

I thought This was rather cool, there is a red one with bike picture on too, and you can change the brick picture and build on the peak of the cap

Marks and Spencer have lego bedding sets too.

Wiifitmama · 17/09/2017 14:36

Actually, it might be John Lewis - can't remember!

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 17/09/2017 14:40

Just warning you: DS is 14 and still crazy about the stuff...

The Lego Batman film is out on DVD and is brilliant.

columbo77 · 17/09/2017 14:54

I love the flexible silicone Lego bases and the Lego tape, both genius. Lego storage boxes are fab, as are the Lego lunch boxes.

singadream · 19/09/2017 11:24

The JL lego bedding is lovely. Ds got it last year and is v happy with it.

dinkystinky · 19/09/2017 11:48

key rings, crocs, clothing (sweaters, pjs etc), lego box holders, lights, lunch box, tape, bedding or - my favourite - ice cube trays...
