They love their stockings. Always have a book in them. Make up. Any other ideas?

Earnings, perfume, nice stationary, pj's. Need to start making a start myself 🎄

StewPots · 17/09/2017 07:19

I still put sweets and chocolate in my DDs stocking (she's nearly 16!) but it's usually a more grown up brand so Hotel Chocolat or Green and Blacks.

Last year I put in a Superdry toiletry set (Boots -£10) which she loved, a pair of gloves, and some bath bombs.

She seemed quite happy with it all.

TheWoollybacksWife · 17/09/2017 07:23

My DDs have:

Socks
Undies (nice matching bra and pants)
A book (DD2 has the Ladybird Student guide Grin)
Make up (foundation and mascara)
A jar of Nutella ( I've got minis but you can get personalised ones)
A novelty (a key ring)
A miniature of their favourite booze
Sweets (bonbons and rhubarb and custard)

Greenbucket · 17/09/2017 07:26

Undies is a great idea also booze!

Wedging in for hints

Always a chocolate orange in the toe here!

Dd is at uni now (since yesterday 😭) so I'm needing stuff to focus on!!

Greenbucket · 17/09/2017 08:48

They love perfume. What's a good cheapy stocking filler that doesn't smell totally disgusting Grin

christmasunicorn · 17/09/2017 08:56

Dd(13) will be getting some American sweets and chocolate (B&m sell it), undie set, black tights, magazine, a £5 Starbucks gift card, some stationary, earphones and novelty plasters

TheWoollybacksWife · 17/09/2017 09:02

Oh QOD I remember the day after leaving day FlowersWineCake for you.

caoraich · 17/09/2017 09:04

Boux avenue do great patterned pjs in winter that come folded into their own fabric wrapped-present looking case. I am in my 20s and still love getting them in a stocking!

SimplyNigella · 17/09/2017 10:07

Perfume Parlour do excellent perfumes with 'notes similar to' all of the major fragrances. The packaging is a bit naff but the product itself are fab and their small sizes are super cheap and would make great stocking fillers.

TealStar · 17/09/2017 10:14

Urban Outfitters and Oliver Bonas online sales are worth a raid. Also the New Look home accessories section when on. I have bought my two some fab things such as strawberry shaped mice for their laptops, gold cacti money boxes, led feature lights, mugs... all kinds. Then I'll pad out their stockings with bath bombs, toiletries and tubes of sweets from Poundland!

TealStar · 17/09/2017 10:14

Thanks for the pyjama tip caorach. Looking for some PJs for their hampers!

Theimpossiblegirl · 17/09/2017 10:17

Mine still want a pot of slime and kinetic sand as well as these more grown up bits.

HolyShmoly · 17/09/2017 10:54

Primark's makeup line is decent and our local has loads of funky sheet masks. How about a face mask, hair mask, hand and foot mask, lip mask and eye mask and a scented candle? All in for around £20 or less?
Next do decent perfume dupes of more expensive ones.

dementedma · 17/09/2017 11:07

wow crumbs shoes/boots as a stocking gift is way beyond my budget sadly....that would be a main present here.

Theoryofparenting · 17/09/2017 19:44

For dd (15) I do:
Perfume
Earrings
Chocolate/sweets
Underwear
Nice stationery
Small gift

My sister puts in my nieces (14):
Boxer shorts
Deoderant set
Chocolate/sweets
Nice stationery
Pyjamas and an annual (not inside the stocking but next to it)

Etymology23 · 18/09/2017 12:41

The lidl "suddenly" perfume is extremely inexpensive and quite nice!

christmasunicorn · 18/09/2017 21:07

Zara perfumes are reasonably priced and well respected. They do very good dupes of higher brands

TealStar · 22/09/2017 19:11

Superdrug have some good stocking fillers out and Boots have 3 for 2 on gifts
