Two teen boys here and it's a toughie for sure. Watching with interest.

So far I've come up with music downloads, clothes, something technological each and that's it so far

Babyblues14 · 12/09/2017 20:00

Placemarking

cowssheephens · 12/09/2017 20:02

Placemarking too.

dementedma · 12/09/2017 20:03

15 yr old wants a macbook. aye, right!!!
he's likely to get - God, dunno really. not bothered about clothes, doesn't want books.
er, Odeon vouchers, new guitar strap, slab from Hotel Chocolat, something to do with the football team he supports...

bimbobaggins · 12/09/2017 20:04

Mainly designer clothing, i.e. Hugo boss/Armani tshirts/underwear

KakunaRattata · 12/09/2017 20:08

13 year old is getting a concert ticket (family Christmas present), then it'll be books, pop vinyls, clothes and a game probably.

Messelina · 12/09/2017 20:09

A year's Spotify account went down well with my two last year (got a family account which is cheaper and gives you four memberships - so we got one too).

JourneyToThePlacentaOfTheEarth · 12/09/2017 20:13

I was thinking about this today. My two teen boys will be getting clothes of a better brand than I can usually afford eg Some designers, Nike socks etc maybe an experience like a driving lesson and connect 4!

JourneyToThePlacentaOfTheEarth · 12/09/2017 20:14

Calvin Klein underwear is v popular at my son's school

Panicmode1 · 12/09/2017 20:16

We have bought driving lessons (young driver), he's getting a new phone, and he's currently rediscovered Hornby stuff and he (13) and his younger brother (9) are busy building a track etc, so we will probably get them some bits for that....

ScruffyLookingNerfHerder · 12/09/2017 20:18

They can probably do driving or flying lessons at that age

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/09/2017 20:39

Mine is 18 this Dec , (they get more £££ and tougher to buy for Xmas Grin )

He's had Young Driver lessons since he was 12yo, really enjoyed them.
Got his Provisional last year, still waiting for him to ask for lessons on the real roads (I don't mind, I don't really want my teen driving)

He's had a new XBox controller.
Thinking about a Gaming chair but he's meh

He got a TV (early BD) huge thing, all fiddly bits.
I think he's after the new XBox .

He gets money
Clothes (Levis trunks), he's not into clothes like DD is.
Some bath smellies

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/09/2017 20:40

Oh , Calvin Kleins, that's an idea.
I'll need to get DD to choose (as she knows these things)

Babyblues14 · 12/09/2017 20:47

Mine has asked for a weight set
And he is a movie buff so the latest dvds
Trainers always go down well
And a phone case
One of those personalised jars of nutella too

Isadora2007 · 12/09/2017 21:00

So far for teen ds i have
Shower speaker (Bluetooth) £10 off Amazon
A poncho (yes he asked for one!!)
Some designer pants.
A yoga mat
A chocolate phone as he got a new iPhone last year and as it was expensive and a two year contract it counts as two years Xmas gifts!
Shower smellies

WeAllHaveWings · 12/09/2017 21:42

No idea this year but likely to be something like (not all!)

Designer and/or sports clothes
Expensive trainers or footie boots
Young driver lessons
Bike
Laptop
Money
Xbox games/points
iTunes
Bedroom makeover to make more grown up
Aftershave

ja9r · 12/09/2017 22:07

I'm thinking about a unicycle...!

Pull up bar?

What are his hobbies?

Jfw82 · 12/09/2017 22:16

For DSS 13 we are looking at:
Heelies
Ds games (still into Pokémon)
Hickies laces
Tottenham shirt or autographed player photo (dithers between them on the official shop)
Board game for family play- prob exploding kittens
Marvel avengers encyclopaedia

KarateKitten · 12/09/2017 22:18

Older teen boy, how about a poker set. Suitcase of chips etc.

NoStraightEdges · 12/09/2017 22:22

Teen skincare?
LED trainers?
Amazon Echo/Alexa?
Ear phones?
Lumie alarm clock?

Makemineacabsauv · 12/09/2017 22:52

My 15 year old DS doesn't care what pants or socks he wears or what shower gel he uses! He's a nightmare!
He wants a new fancy Xbox controller that is about £100.
Game vouchers
Games
Sweets

That's it. Be an exciting Christmas.... then we get to teen DD and it gets serious...!!!! Shock

Wheelycote · 13/09/2017 07:29

Loving these ideas - ive never heard of younger driving lessons Shock

Tiggles · 13/09/2017 10:16

Mine is massively into skateboarding so 'big' presents are easy - have you seen the cost of a new set of wheels!
However, stocking wise he likes things like the Bond aftershave samples, things (that's not the technical term) that stick on his X-box controller, books, chocolate, little 'ornaments' for want of a better word relating to the films he is into at the time.

jj21 · 13/09/2017 10:20

ja9r - DS14 loves his unicycle, this is one of the best presents we have bought him. He's not come up with any ideas so far this year...

I have a few bits - some books and music and a DVD or 2 as he loves films but that is is so far. He is tricky to buy for as he is not into sport, clothes or trainers etc.

Good luck OP!

dementedma · 13/09/2017 21:48

make yours sounds like mine. Last year he got a new "gaming" mouse/contoller and keyboard.
I would love to get him a macbook but cant afford it. And he has two sisters so I cant justify spending that much on him and not on them...
