Am sure that I read this somewhere - supposed to be happening on Friday 15th September. Did I dream it? Anyone?

Just saw on Facebook that they are doing up to 50% off a whopping 41 items.I can't see any that are half price. It's in store only, and there's loads of comments saying they upped the original price to make the discount seem larger.

Bumbumtaloo · 14/09/2017 13:28

I was just going to say that I had received an email saying there is a sale - up to 50% off but after looking at what they have it's rubbish!

Fancythat69 · 14/09/2017 13:47

I'm believing nothing until after 8pm tonight, which is when the adverts are usually on TV

Fancythat69 · 14/09/2017 21:16

It's not looking good for the smyths sale 😢

fuckingroundabout · 15/09/2017 06:33

Nope no sale :(

yumyumpoppycat · 15/09/2017 08:08

Maybe Smyths are waiting for closer to Christmas so they can combine with adverts? clutching at straws.

Toys r us have 30% off quite a few ninjago lego sets plus there is a £5 off a £30 spend voucher -8086839990 only seems to work for home delivery.

ilovetea14 · 15/09/2017 10:00

There's a rumour on Facebook that it will be on the 27th of September. Fingers crossed it's true

Newtothis2017 · 15/09/2017 10:04

I really hope there is a sale🤞

chanie44 · 15/09/2017 19:27

Well, I made a saving in Smyths. I bought DDs birthday presents a couple of weeks ago and the item were in the sale, so I returned them and got them at the cheaper price, saving £20.

fuckingroundabout · 15/09/2017 21:12

I did take advantage of the 50% off Thomas skyhigh jump set though. My daughter will be thrilled!

I can't decide how long to wait. Also, I tend to be a bit lazy and get the bulk of the kids toys in Smyths in the sale if I can, so I end up choosing stuff for them that Smyths stock.
Now I'm going over my list and thinking that I'll get other things instead, that I know they'll like, and watching elsewhere for good prices on lego.
I don't want actually I do want to be childish and refuse to shop at Smyths out of a displaced sense of entitlement to a sale, but realistically I probably won't buy as much from them now.
