Need some gift inspiration for DS 6yo

Help please! My DS is turning 6yo in a few weeks time and we have no real idea of what to get him (for Birthday and Christmas). He already has his own iPad and loves mine craft and watching kids you tube.

He got a new scooter at start of summer and loves that. He doesn't need a bike or any more lego as he doesn't really play with that. He loves his nerf gun thank you Father Christmas last year and we have enough plastic crap that half the bits go missing or break toys so want to avoid that.

He does like gross & messy stuff like slime and goo but DH hates the mess.

So really quite stuck for ideas, please can anyone help? Haven't really thought about budget but probably up to £100 of it's the right thing.

We also have a 3yo DD who will be 4 in January but she is a bit easier to please but does like to join in with DS when he is playing lego or drawing etc.

A couple of things I'm looking at for my 6yo are:

Coding mouse

Pop-up mythology book

Magic set

I've also put together a homemade spy kit in an old briefcase with a fingerprint set, some code books, walkie talkies etc.

Football goal for the garden
Marble run
Remote controlled car

Someone mentioned Kapla on another thread and I thought I might get that for DS as he enjoys building.

We've also thought about a telescope.

We got the kids a football goal last year for Christmas and it's been a great success, was about £25 from Argos. He also has a telescope that he doesn't use.

Marble run could be good, will look at the other suggestions too. Thanks!

Trampoline?

cravingcake · 12/09/2017 17:16

Definitely not a trampoline- I spent all 6 weeks of summer holidays in plaster from a broken wrist (not caused by a trampoline incident) so have seen enough of the hospital for a while.

Stompy I think that coding mouse looks ideal for my son, just waiting to hear back from DH if he likes it.

I think I'll get a marble run for Christmas as a joint present for the kids, looks like a bit of fun for us all to play and design etc.

Thanks for the ideas.

There's a coding robot which I have bought for ds.
www.argos.co.uk/product/5458846?store=4173&cmpid=GS001&_$ja=tsid:59156%7Ccid:598623310%7Cagid:28645194565%7Ctid:aud-180466976485:pla-266956084765%7Ccrid:96091055125%7Cnw:g%7Crnd:5031373032310109985%7Cdvc:m%7Cadp:1o3&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIg6LN4omg1gIVzrXtCh3VbQfgEAQYAyABEgLVd_D_BwE

And we are also thinking of a marble run as well.

Has he got a minecraft membership? You could get that or an iTunes voucher so he can add skins or pay for story mode?
