Oops sorry @tootsieglitterballs - I was a bit excited to post, so didn't check if anyone else had first! Think they've cottoned on now though, that was quick!

tootsieglitterballs · 14/09/2017 08:38

Don't apologise @Llamacorn !!

Haudyerwheesht · 14/09/2017 08:58

Noticed too that smyths do a pre order price promise, so if you order something which hasn't been released yet and the price subsequently drops, you'll be charged the lower price. Worth bearing in mind?

bunningsbunny · 14/09/2017 09:06

Just tried the argos website and theyve got a 'sorry doing upgrades' page up - methinks theyve just realised their pricing error Grin

EmGee · 14/09/2017 09:24

@JangleJangleJangle
Re Shopkins playset, my kids have the supermarket, the ice-cream van and a popcorn seller. We bought them all from a car boot sale and I kid you not, when I saw the actual price they sell for in shops/online, I nearly fell off my chair. They are all cute but definitely not worth their RRP!!

EmGee · 14/09/2017 09:25

Also Jangle try shops like B&M as they stock some Shopkins and they are generally cheaper than other stores.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 14/09/2017 09:35

just had a look on smiths they had lots of bits at a good price but unfortunately not in stock online and no store nearby 😑 im debating the moana singing doll - do we think this will be the best price before Christmas?

looking for miraculous merchandise - in particular the costume and dolls. I'm wary of buying from Ali express as dd still does put things in her mouth! and a moana costume in age 5-6.

just a reminder to check ebay/schpock etc for new gifts. ive recently bought super smash bros for 3ds for £10 twozies 24 pack £7 and guardians of galaxy busy book £3. saved £36 off the rrp 😁

DearMrDilkington · 14/09/2017 09:45

Has anyone seen any of those Christmas village scenes for a good price anywhere?

margaritasbythesea · 14/09/2017 09:55

I am settingup lots of camel camel camel alerts atm as kids haven´t yet given any thought to what they want for Christmas (inconsiderate tykes - it´s only three months away!)

There seem to be an awful lot of lowest ever prices for Ninjago Lego tday. They are not dramatic drops but might be useful. I am not sure if they will go down again given the imminent movie (stares hard at DS...)

JangleJangleJangle · 14/09/2017 09:58

EmGee - I know! It's going to break my heart to pay that ridicolous pay for the playsets. Esp as it will probably be scattered all round her room come February

margaritasbythesea · 14/09/2017 10:03

JAngle JAngle _ I got the cafe ones at a good price in The Entertainer sale late last year. There are none at the moment but I am crossing my fingers. The cafe sets are nice btw. There´s a Paris one I am after this year as it is DDs dream to set up a cafe in Paris.

JangleJangleJangle · 14/09/2017 10:06

I'll keep my eye on the Entertainer and B&M and hope! - thank you!

Reastie · 14/09/2017 10:13

Been busy going through Christmas stuff this morning. I think I've only got half a dozen things to go Shock.

Anyone who got the joules scarfs from their eBay place how to you attach the scarves to the hanger label thing? It comes in a bag and flat packed but I can't work out how to do it!

Ohh, just got an email from qvc I'm going to check, says something about saving money on elemis. I know someone else on here was after cheap elemis too.

Willl catch up on thread and email from qvc, hope you're all well.

KavvLar · 14/09/2017 10:55

Dd7 is dog mad and utterly distraught that we can't have a puppy (DH allergic). She has a little dog at her childminders that she is obsessed with, and loves playing with her and cuddling her. I know it's not the same but I thought about getting her one of those substitute puppy toys to maybe fill the void.

I've been browsing the various fake puppy toys out there like Lucy dog and those petzzzz toys. Some of them I think are aimed at elderly people, they look very realistic but might not stand up to kids playing with them. Others look more interactive but wouldn't pass as anything like a real dog. Please help - has anyone had this with their DC? Any recommendations? Thanks so much.

Tiggles · 14/09/2017 11:01

Thanks for the heads up about the toys for a pound website. Massive box just arrived. £40 spent, younger boys' stockings sorted and loads of stuff for the 'school birthday present' box too.

Tiggles · 14/09/2017 11:04

@herroyalfattyness my 9 year old DS has recently devoured the Warrior Cats series. Check out www.toysforapound.co.uk for stocking fillers.

ProseccoandPizza · 14/09/2017 11:33

Second the toysforapound website got the Tube Heroes figures for a £1 each then completed set with the Dan TDM one for £9.99 well 2 for £15 from Argos. Plus StarWars Crayola crayons etc.

HerRoyalFattyness · 14/09/2017 11:40

Thanks for that website. Looks like there's a few things I could get.

Tiggles I'll investigate warrior cats thanks.
