Hi everyone. I've logged back into MN purely for the Christmas threads. There is no better place to find bargains!

My 3.5 year old is very into Duplo and is desperate for some 'big boy Lego' this Christmas. I thought it might be handy to have somewhere we can track any decent prices on Lego because it tends to be fairly pricey. DS is particularly into vehicles, especially fire engines so I'll be keeping a close eye on those. Anyone spotted any deals yet?

Just a few general tips
Have you set up camelcamel alerts? You can track prices on Amazon and get an email when a price drops, and see the price history so you'll know if you're paying too much.
Brickset is also great to keep an eye on. It compares prices across different European amazons. Sometimes the price differences are substantial.
Smyths 20% sale is a great help! Rumour is sept 15th
Also check the Lego shop as they often have better prices than Argos and Amazon!

I haven't done camelcamelcamel yet as I've been dithering about which ones to go for. As for the other tips - thanks, that's really helpful. Husband is a bit Lego obsessed so I'll tell him to keep an eye on the shop when he's doing his weekly daily browse Hmm

Take a look at the Wilko version they do some great sets at Christmas and it fits with lego

I really like the lego junior sets. Still big kid lego but the building skills required are a little more simplistic. I've got camel alerts set for loads so shall post on the bargain page if any come down in price.

Lego juniors do a great fire set it was only £18.00 from amazon. Amazon change their prices daily do sometimes on for a lot less

Great, I've set up an alert for this one which I know he'd love. It might not go any lower but no harm in keeping an eye out given that it's only September!

Quilliam I got the fire lego for £13 at beginning of August. Think that's it's lowest. I did mention it on the 1st/2nd thread but thread starting to move a bit quicker now!
Found a couple of good bargains on eBay - 2nd hand bundles

sepsisandAKI · 05/09/2017 09:24

Oops I'm thinking this is Christmas bargain thread Blush

QuilliamCakespeare · 05/09/2017 10:06

Ooh, that's a great price.

Don't worry, I'm on that one too Wink
