Hi I need some inspiration on what to buy my Mam for Christmas this year I was thinking of doing her a hamper but i can't think of what to put in it she doesn't do Books or DVDs or drink so I'm pretty stuck for ideas

How about a nice toiletry/pamper hamper? I've given MIL a gift bag in the past for birthdays filled with useful things like deodorant, bubble bath, nice hand/foot creams, emery boards, nail varnish, lip salve....that type of thing. If you're making a hamper you could expand on it and include a fluffy dressing gown, slippers, perfume, fave chocs and drink even if it's a soft drink, face masks.....

Is there any other suggestions

Would she enjoy a show/musical, Afternoon tea at a posh restaurant, spa treats? I'm the same, every year it's a struggle Sad

How about a selection of delicious foods? Some posh chocs, homemade fudge, tasty treats, posh marmalade, unusual teas, special coffee, posh drinking chocolate etc?

Magazine subscription with the latest edition in the hamper?

What's the budget? You can get pre made hampers from m&s, Harvey nicks etc
If doing yourself a nice wine, jam, cheeses, tea?

Scarf, clarins hand cream, favourite coffee and teas.

My mum is 83 and has trouble sleeping so I am doing her a silk pillowcase (supposed to help sleep and stop wrinkles) Lush sleepy head cream and some luxury hot chocolate. Also a cross body bag from Catch Kidston.

Candles?

Does she like sweet or savoury things? If savoury - would she go for a cheese hamper with nice crackers, oatcakes, pickles? You'd have to get it nearer the time I guess. If sweet - small jars of jam in a few flavours, chocolates, drinking chocolate with a small mug, marshmallows, two or three kinds of biscuits, mini croissants?

How about having a professional photographer take some pictures of you (and any other family) Then you can give her one or more prints.
