Wow, prequel is all filled up and it's not even august!

So I will start a new op at some point but since it's only July and things will be slower the links will portably be out of date by the time the next thread starts so I'll save that for later.

Welcome everyone to Christmas Bargain Central, a place to post and share ideas and offers .

Found Ariel wash mitts in Poundland too.

Haudyerwheesht · 11/08/2017 14:38

Need bargains more than ever as seem to be spending about 50% of our income on bloody nit solution Angry

FireflyGirl · 11/08/2017 14:47

Zavvi have got Blurays 5 for £30. Individual prices are between £8.99 to £15.99 (for a Star Trek film...Hmm), but there are some good titles, including BFG, The Snowman special editions and It's a Wonderful Life (seeing as we're on the Christmas thread), some Downton Abbey sets, Audrey Hepburn collection...

2.5% (I think, DVDs count as entertainment, right?) cashback through Quidco.

TobleroneBoo · 11/08/2017 14:49

I've never had a problem with IWOOT, I think last year they mispriced some blenders which lots of people tried to buy, which caused issues

FireflyGirl · 11/08/2017 14:50

Found you a bargainous solution, Haudyerwheesht... Grin

It was the absolute nightmare battle for refunds on returns with IWOOT that makes them utterly dire. Took forever to sort out. 😡

WreckTangled · 11/08/2017 15:04

Every year I struggle with grandparents and aunts and uncles. Although, as dd put, I'm really lucky to have [great] grandparents still because everyone else we know, theirs have died! Still tricky to buy for though....

2-in-1 kitchen/dolls house £26.99 from Argos on ebay, with free delivery. It's quite small, and very pink, but might suit someone who doesn't have a lot of room but would like both.

The Argos shop on eBay is worth keeping an eye on. They've also got Mega Bloks Thomas and Friends Hidden Treasure Adventures for £13.99 and free P&P. This looks to be a decent sized set, especially for that price! It's £19.99 from a third party seller on Amazon, and according to CCC, has never been lower than £15.50, so a pretty decent price.

FireflyGirl · 11/08/2017 15:19

Mamas and Papas double decker twin set pram £14.99.

This is black and yellow, for whoever was looking for a non-pink-pram for their DS. And a good price - it's cheaper than the simple buggy styles! It's just a bit too big for what I'm looking for.

imsorryiasked · 11/08/2017 19:07

Anyone else waiting on Lisa Angel stuff? I emailed customer service to see where my order was, got an auto response but no actual answer. I was hoping it would be here as one item is for a birthday gift.

Can people give a shout out if they spot any good TV deals? Think it's time for a new one. Looking for an Ultra HD smart to, 40 inches or bigger.

Christmas pressie to myself?

VoldemortsNipple · 11/08/2017 19:16

I've just received my order from the online pound store of the loccitane stuff. Just so people know. It is from loccitane au Brezil not loccitane en provence. I'm not too worried as they are still lovely and will still make a fabulous gift but if you wanted them for a fussy mother in law you might need to think again. I'm just trying to see if they are sister companies as the Loccitane font is exactly the same.

VoldemortsNipple · 11/08/2017 19:21

Actually it looks like they are sister company's as they have a link on the website

I've been looking for fairy garden bits and pieces for DD. I've seen some gorgeous little chairs and tables and bridges, etc. that look like they are made of twigs but are suitable for outdoors. But the prices! £5-7 for a chair that isn't even the size of my thumb Shock.

VoldemortsNipple · 11/08/2017 19:51

imsorryiasked I've had my order from Lisa angel. I didn't order jewellery, I ordered personalised items and they took less than a week.
