Wow, prequel is all filled up and it's not even august!

So I will start a new op at some point but since it's only July and things will be slower the links will portably be out of date by the time the next thread starts so I'll save that for later.

Welcome everyone to Christmas Bargain Central, a place to post and share ideas and offers .

@Haudyerwheesht that's an amazing price!!

christmasunicorn · 11/08/2017 07:56

@NeverEnoughSleep1 those ones are quite small, there is a larger box also. I guess it depends how much you want to put in one. I would go for the larger but then I have 4 dc plus dh and I so 6 pairs of pj's, plus a marshmallow toasting kit, plus an activity. If you only have one dc, the small would be perfectly fine

christmasunicorn · 11/08/2017 07:57

I remember last year there was a day where ps4's were sold for 149.99 across different shops. They sold out vvvv quickly though.

tootsieglitterballs · 11/08/2017 08:01

Thanks @christmasunicorn ! Shall keep my eyes peeled. I was hoping to get him a knife making course, but it's just looking far too expensive (when you add in the travel, accommodation etc even more so).

tootsieglitterballs · 11/08/2017 08:02

I was actually thinking that there may be some on black Friday this year... however there is a high chance I will be in hospital (baby due last week of November!) so don't want to rely on then!

Catanddogmake6 · 11/08/2017 08:04

Wasn't the special price on the PS4s last year due to an upgrade/ different version coming out? I cant remember exactly but if it was, we might not see such good deals this year. However I think the Xbox is due a new version so we might see deals there. Can you tell I'm not a gamer/ techie!
I will be on the look out for bargain X box games for younger children if anyone sees any.

christmasunicorn · 11/08/2017 08:05

THIS ARTICLE IS FROM LAST YEAR late September/early October for the PS4 deal

MissRainbowBrite · 11/08/2017 08:28

Argos have the Playmobil Noah's Ark down to £21.99 in their clearance.

tootsieglitterballs · 11/08/2017 08:35

Amazing - thank you! Fingers crossed 😊

christmasunicorn · 11/08/2017 08:41

hatchimal glittering garden Penguala £47.14

christmasunicorn · 11/08/2017 08:47

25 kawaii squishies £13.99 would be good for an advent calendar

NoWordForFluffy · 11/08/2017 09:08

Weren't Hatchimals actually very disappointing?

I'm torn between risking that they'll be the thing to have again this year and buying one and not bothering because they're shit!

Highmaintenancefemalestuff · 11/08/2017 09:14

First time on here. Bought some great bargains, playmobil noahs ark and some other of the wildlife stuff, the lego star wars watch, my little pony ball pooper.
Thank you all.
Not come across any bargains my self - I'm terrible at finding them - but I'll post if I do.

As for the hatchimals, I wouldn't bother. I bought one for my Son and niece last Christmas and after they hatched they were forgotten about. Never been seen since.

Dolceandgabbana14 · 11/08/2017 09:20

Ball pooper Grin Something for the title of thread two maybe?

Loving these Christmas bargains threads. Thanks everyone.

christmasunicorn · 11/08/2017 09:30

I bought a hatchimal for my kids last year. It doesn't really do much after the first day but ds2(5) loves it and has requested 10(!!) this year. He still regularly plays with his hatchimal but the others aren't bothered by it at all. It's hard to predict what a child becomes attached to

MrsCrimbo74 · 11/08/2017 09:33

buckeejit Please buy an inflatable kayak, just so I know someone else out there trusts their DH with their DC's on the open water Shock

FoofFighter · 11/08/2017 09:44

On the lookout for mermaid themed stuff for a 5yo girl please if anyone sees anything bargaineous!

ALready got a mermaid blanket in my amazon basket.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 11/08/2017 09:48

Re: the That's Not My... book post earlier, the most recent one is a unicorn one! Thought of this thread as soon as I saw it Grin

Quite reasonable on amazon at the moment

Strawberryfield12 · 11/08/2017 11:12

Oh, the Christmas thread is one! Have just managed to catch up with it and have placed 3 orders as I go. Thanks to the poster pointing out the glow in the dark cup on Lisa Angel. I already had ordered glow in the dark sky map for my nephew, will go a treat together. He has been telling us he wants to be a aircraft pilot, should be right up his street!

Have also bought things on Mountain Warehouse clearance and National Trust. Not so much presents, just useful things for a good price.

speckledpigeon · 11/08/2017 11:27

Was a long-time lurker last year and so happy to get in this year on Thread 1!
To the PP who asked about a makeup bag for the mermaid brushes / FoofFighter looking for mermaid bits - this sequin make up bag on Amazon looks good!

DandelionAndBedrock · 11/08/2017 11:41

Jeans reduced to £10 from about £40 in Gep (women's section). Not sure if online. Not hugely festive but a good bargain!

woodwaj · 11/08/2017 11:58

For the posters that asked about naked marshmallow they tend to last around 6 months based on packs ive had previously!

christmasunicorn · 11/08/2017 12:47

I've just ordered this stunt scooter for ds(8). Amazon has the same (well different colour) for £50 and reviews are good

Llamacorn · 11/08/2017 13:41

Re the pp asking about mermaid stuff - head to primark! There is so much, from homeware (cushions, plaques, lights, decorative items, mugs, water bottles, bedding, towels) to beauty stuff (make up bags, mirrors, nail files, eye masks) and lots of clothing and other bits too, I bought my dd a 2 way sequin mermaid top from there. A lot of it is a cute blue/holographic style and reasonably priced.

They have amazing suitcase storage boxes mermaid themed (set of 3) at the works, £7 or 2 for £10 and they're actually a great size, would be lovely to use as your 'hamper' (plus 20% off at the works if you sign up with your email)

www.theworks.co.uk/p/storage-boxes/mermaid-kisses-storage-suitcases---set-of-3/5052089221741?CAWELAID=720011340002497114&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=18221918081&CATCI=aud-88938489401:pla-66704748323&catargetid=720011340002444181&cadevice=m&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9Pe7sZnP1QIV5pXtCh0-Mwo4EAQYASABEgKMBvD_BwE

New look also have mermaid themed face glitter and sticky gems, keyrings, make up bags, hairbrush, hair glitter etc.

The book people have a 'keep calm and colour mermaids' book which is lovely at £3.99, although the unicorn one is £2 at the works so they may have the mermaid one for that price in store too.

www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?productId=667398&catalogId=10051

You can also get cool printed mermaid socks here (from china so longer delivery) they say women's sizes but they're pretty tiny and cheap as chips. Your daughter could maybe even make mermaid puppets if they're too big Grin

I'll stop now lol but you may be able to tell we like mermaids here too Blush

LexieLulu · 11/08/2017 13:47

I read previously that the site IWOOT is a let down? Has anyone had any positive feedback at all?

I really want something's my from the site but don't know whether to risk as it isn't cheap
