Wow, prequel is all filled up and it's not even august!

So I will start a new op at some point but since it's only July and things will be slower the links will portably be out of date by the time the next thread starts so I'll save that for later.

Welcome everyone to Christmas Bargain Central, a place to post and share ideas and offers .

Hi all👋🏼

I've seen these threads and posted the odd time under different usernames but this is the first year I'm actually going to be properly on the thread especially as this is my first year as a proper adult Grin

Thanks to everyone, but especially Reastie and Sprouts for doing a great job!👍🏼

I adore Christmas and everything to do with it especially as my birthday's almost a Christmas one! so am delighted that threads like these are kept up all year and I hope ye don't mind me joining ye! Smile

I've actually gotten two Christmas presents already and today's the first day I've felt properly Christmassy so feel I can officially join this thread! Wink

I don't have any specific deals to give ye yet,but I know of some good general ones e.g;

-Amazon have 3 for £10 on loads of books till the end of September, including on books that cost a few pounds each so you basically get some free

-Hot UK Deals is great-members upload deals, competitions and freebies they find and you can get an email with the best ones from a variety of retailers each day,and you can search the website yourself if you're trying to find a specific item

-If you sign up to get emails from Converse, you get 15% off your first purchase and also get other offers

-If you sign up to Hollister and Abercrombie emails, you get regular emails with discount codes for both sale and non-sale items

-Individual in-store Tescos often have great reductions on toys and sometimes give vouchers for money off when you buy clothes from them

I'll keep ye posted if and when I find more Smile

CanIHaveChocolatePlease · 06/08/2017 14:07

Oh and I forgot-signing up to the Boohoo emails give you up to 70% off everything and an extra 10% off Smile

Dobble is indeed brilliant!
Other family favourites are:

Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert emails are also great for general day-to-day deals -there's a once-weekly emails on a Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning that gives good advice and deals on loads of stuff

The Mumsnet Money Saver emails are good as well-you can sign up to them in your settings and they also come once-weekly (I think they come on a Tuesday evening as well)

Cards against humanity please 😂
Just lowering the tone as I have 15/19/20 yr olds to buy for

Chocolateteabag · 06/08/2017 16:07

Making my 2017 debut

Has anyone seen any Lego sticky tape cheaper than £9/m which is what I can see it's on Amazon for? (Its flexible tape with lego compatible blobs so you can put minifigures on shelf edges etc)

Thank you for the David Sales link @Trollspoopglitter

MooPointCowsOpinion · 06/08/2017 16:19

Just left ELC, they've got a sale on lots of learning games. £4 times table game is perfect for my eldest, was £8, also got a Santa set, postman set from happyland. The happyland sale was a disappointment mostly, but the rest of the sale was good.

DarlingWednesday · 06/08/2017 16:58

I know there aren't many, but if anyone has the pleasure of living near a Bargain Booktime they have the Lego Miniature Character Book Set on sale. 5 little books with stickers (and possibly the encyclopedia?) for £3.50

RatOnnaStick · 06/08/2017 17:03

Lots of good ideas, thank you. We do have cards against humanity already (not for the children though)

margaritasbythesea · 06/08/2017 17:10

Can anyone recommend a Jedi outfit for 8-10. My son got the cape for his birthday but the person who sent it thought it was the whole kit. DS was very disappointed.

Tattybogle89 · 06/08/2017 17:23

Spynet spy clops tv microscope £9.99 this was £50 everywhere last xmas just grabbed one good deal

QODRestYeMerryGentlemen · 06/08/2017 17:37

@RatOnaStick I am sorry. I was not clear 😂 I'm after a bargain Cards Against Humanity if anyone sees it
The basic pack as I've not got any of it

Trudee · 06/08/2017 18:54

Tatty Thanks for the spy clops link, just reserved one at toysrus. Was trying to decide which ds was going to get it as it would suit both but then remembered ds1 has Nov birthday so it's heading his way Smile

Steph999999 · 06/08/2017 19:07

I saw cards against humanity in an Amazon daily deal or lightening deal (can't remember which) a few weeks ago down to £16 from £20. Amazon deals tend to come round again so might be worth a daily check on there.

I'm after an aqua doodle if anyone has seen any bargains on one of those?

RuggerHug · 06/08/2017 19:28

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet but bookdepository.com are usually brilliant for bargains and have free shipping.

RatOnnaStick · 06/08/2017 19:54

@QODRestYeMerryGentlemen sorry, wrong end of the stick there! I'm still on 7th birthday present mode so the thought of adult things went right over my head.

DelurkingAJ · 06/08/2017 20:02

Lego tape. We have just been shipped Nimuno loops tape. $19 for 2m including shipping.

ipswichwitch · 06/08/2017 20:11

Tattybogle89 · 06/08/2017 20:15

Tattybogle89 · 06/08/2017 20:18

OOh Lego tape I'm liking the look of this. About to do up a boys bedroom now I've got some good ideas 😉

QOD · 06/08/2017 20:22
